JT Barrett has Lane Stadium as phone backround. Knows Brewers mama's name.

Episode 3

Final S & G days episode- Towards the end JT and Tyvis Powell joke that they've been studying Virginia Tech so much that they know players mama's names.

JT also has a nice picture of a Lane stadium crowd as his phone backround to remind himself of what he's in for.

Also the QB coach tells Barrett to make sure he takes most of the reps in a drill because we are in "game mode".

I'd bet the farm that JT is the starter.

Considering what happened last night, I would hope JTB is the starter

It's crazy how quickly times change. Does anyone remember how "gutsy" of a performance Terrell Davis put on in the Super Bowl for competing with a migraine? I think now he would be held out due to precaution. I guess he had a known history of headaches and the Cardale head aches haven't been diagnosed.

I hope they have secure passwords, i.e., not based on mom's name.

Right lol. I know they didn't mean too much harm but I was like did they really just say that in front of the camera?

Thought you guys may get a kick out of it.

Starts at 14:18

like the team in Charlottesville , the buckeyes also have a huge clock counting the time they face VT at lane stadium. It could be a good sign for the hokies as LOLUVA haven't won a game against VT in over 10 years.

who gives a ____ whats on his phone. We need to kick their ___!

well done.

Perfect!!!

Joe should shut down gif functionality on here now. There will never be a more perfect usage. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

To be honest, JT should be less concerned with our QB's mama's name and be much more worried about who his new Dadi's about to be on Monday night...

Very punny!

Good one. I'm a fan of clever puns. Turkey leg.

Behind an Amish buggy going up a long, curvy hill

And that list may get fuller and fuller.

He should be worried, he'll be Facyson a very good defense whose confidence will be getting Fuller every time he Ken not avoid the rush. To succeed he will have to Marshall his composure and keep from getting Mad(dy) and not Chuck the ball down the field.

There is nothing in the world like Thursday night in Blacksburg!

That pun was in your Facyson.

@VTimHokie85

Silly JT, it's too late for you to transfer to Tech.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Don't mess with his mama!

There is nothing in the world like Thursday night in Blacksburg!

Here's the Mama he's gonna know. Mamma Grizzly!

JT be like...

GIVE IT TO ME ROSCOE!

It may be nothing but there was a line in there that could be alluding to JT starting. One of the assistant coaches said something along the lines of "we're in game week now so make sure you get most of these" directly to JT, which given the context seems he is referring to snaps with the starters. That combined with CJs headache may make the decision more clear if it wasn't already decided.

Disclaimer: I'm in full speculation mode.

He's no good to me dead.

That was some high quality production and worth watching the whole thing. I still don't like Urban Meyer Any sort of football video right now makes me so hype I need to run through a wall.

" Even the little things like finding your way out of the locker room to the bus provide a shock to the system. Must be kidding?

I think the big comment after last year's game was Urban saying that he didn't have them ready for what Bud Foster threw at them. I see this as JT saying that they are hyper-prepared - which is good for VT if they win because there are no excuses this time.

Bud Foster knows they have been preparing for whatever they think he will throw at him. I'm interested in seeing what he throws at them that they aren't prepared for.

agreed. sure, it's overboard but the guy wants to win and he's making sure it's on his mind every moment. I can respect that.... It's not going to work, but I respect it.

I think it's cute of him to have a pic of Lane on his phone. I mean its the upper deck, outside the side lines in the south endzone. Not a great perspective on the field, or how loud it can be.

Look at this way, some people post pics of places they want to visit. JT will get to visit his place on Monday night. I'm sure he won't be disappointed.

That pic will be his way of remembering his trip. Because from his back all he'll be able to see is the upper deck anyway.

that's cute, they have an almost decade of dominance thing with regard to the TUN rivalry. In reality, it's just a 3 win streak. Get back to me when you can claim 11 in a row...and counting.

It's 10 out of 11, with the one loss coming with Luke Fickell as head coach.

And Michigan is a national power unlike the Cavs

I'm not touching (bashing) the Missagain-anOSU rivalry. It's up there with Auburn-Alabama as far as I'm concerned. Typically something decent, if not huge, on the line. And definitely a swing vote in some recruiting decisions. Much more so than a team to our east that hasn't brought anything to the table in 11 years.

I agree, you guys are fighting over being the big fish in a much bigger pond than ours. and 10 of 11 is great for a rivalry, it's just not 11 of 11 (and 15 of 16, if we want to look at it that way). It's all about perspective. We are in a small pond, but we're approaching the point where the only challenger has players who weren't even conceived the last time they won (only 7 more years!!)

Seriously though, all of the "We're ready for them this time, by Golly!" hyperbole only shows one thing...

They scurred.

Win or Lose Monday, Coach Beamer and the Hokies can walk away from this series knowing that they got under OSU's skin. And being the dude that I am, I appreciate that more than most will ever know.

Leonard. Duh.

How does that prove they are scared?

I think they are very excited.

Oh well, Football starts in less than two hours boys and girls.

JT better set his phone to vibrate to get the full Lane Stadium experience.

"Exit light..."

Turn the volume to 11... and then engage vibration

JTB isnt going to make it past our line lets be real here...

Myself I'm sick of the excuses of why they got beat last yr, yea they were young in a couple spots but go look at tech, a qb that had a month to learn the playbook, they lost 2 starters on the o- line before the season even started and like osu had a young o- line, they started 2 true freshman wr's and a redshirt freshman te, 2 redshirt freshman rb's and that d that gave them fits all night had what , 7 or 8 new starters!! So please, enough allready.

I'm not so sure they're excuses. More of we turned into a buzzsaw at the end of the season and we believe the team we are bringing Monday night will be more like the team at the end of the year than the one you beat.

You beat us fair and square but based on the path both teams took after last seasons game, we are pretty confident that we will have the better team (fair or not.)

I hope you are back on here Tuesday. We love ya though and have enjoyed you guys being on here.

โ€œI hope that theyโ€™re not going to have big eyes and pee down their legs so to speak,โ€ -- Bud Foster

Oh we will all be here on Tuesday win or lose. Obviously we want to win, but we all feel pretty confident that if we lose we will still go undefeated the rest of the way and win the playoff yet again. I'm ok with this outcome. I've actually predicted that this is how it will probably go. VT is just a bad matchup for Ohio State. We are the most talented team in the country, but shorthanded and Foster has our number. Losing to VT will hurt, but winning the national title will pretty much ease that pain 100%. You guys can take care of us and we will take care of the winning championships thing. I think that is a fair trade.

part of me is ok with this scenario. Another part of me wants to tell you that we'll beat you Monday and then again in the playoffs. That part of me is living in an orange and maroon haze and is pissed at the world for it being Friday and not Monday (...said noone ever, until now).

Understandable. I think VT has a good team this year, but I just get the feeling yall will run into an opponent that is a bad matchup for yall. The VT defense is awesome, but I just don't see the VT offense being one the top units in the country. Maybe I'm wrong and Brewer will be a heisman contender, but I think the VT offense will have some serious struggles this year.

To me the whole thing is bizzare. I think Ohio State can beat TCU, Alabama, USC, Oregon, Auburn, and any other top 25 team you can think of. I would favor Ohio State to beat all them without even a thought. But for some reason VT is just the one team IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY that I think can give us fits. Its like VT just has the perfect formula of scheme and personnel to beat us that no one else has. But I wouldn't think twice about picking Bama or several other top 25 teams to beat VT. Its just weird.

We don't need Brewer to be a Heisman contender. Just effective. That's all we ask with the defense we have.

"pissed at the world for it being Friday and not Monday (...said noone ever, until now)."

Lol. I put in a vacation day for Tuesday last January. Hope you got the same

Nope. Probably should though considering I will have a hangover win or lose. Hangover because of relief drinking if we escape with the win and pain numbing drinking if we lose.

all my vacation days were already spoken for by the time I found out I'd have tickets. But since I had an extra, I invited my boss. So we'll both be worthless on Tuesday, but oh well. I've stayed up working til 1:30 the past couple nights, much rather have stayed up watching the game...

Cheers!

Tech went south mainly because they lost half of their starters, that sucked but 1 thing it did do was get alot of young guys experience which will help us this yr and also getting all those players back that were hurt is huge also. Tech may not have the amount of talent as schools like osu, bama etc but what they do have fits what they do, kinda like Boise st and the depth is getting back to where it needs to be, o-line and def end are the 2 spots this yr that are thin but wr has been addressed and hopefully we can pull in 2 or 3 more studs on the o-line for next yr.
