It'll be interesting to see what actually happened. I doubt Beamer will do anything until the case is completely settled. But from the sounds of it there were witnesses so this shouldn't take too long.

Summarizing from an blog Bitter wrote last year; He is a friend of the Football and Basketball coaches/staff, helps with the education on avoiding some of the common legal problems athletes may face (Team Educate), and represents a lot of VT athletes because they and the coaches are familiar with him. Here is the link:
From my limited experiences with him, he is a super nice guy. I worked at the BCC for a summer and he was a regular golfer there. He was always friendly, a good tipper, and has two nice, well-behaved little kids.
Seth Greenberg, on the other hand...

They had were real easy on the eyes. From my experiences and observations in the Greek Life, Alpha Phi always took some real lookers. Paige was actually in one of my classes.

In my opinion it is one thing to defend yourself. It is another to send someone to the hospital and get charged with malicious wounding. Who ever started it, Holmes finished it...and hard. No doubt he lost a little control of himself. Just saying.

From what I've gathered, the victim who went to the hospital was discharged later that night and the malicious wounding was more of a 'formality;' the wounds weren't serious.

It is in Australia. There was video with audio....the little kid was repeatedly slapping the big kid and calling him names for a while, and the big kid kept on taking it without retaliating for a while. When he finally did retaliate, that happened.

Eh, sometimes you can't just finish a fight without hurting someone. I've been in a few myself when I was younger, and you don't just slap-tickle until you find an escape route and run. It doesn't make fighting "right", but you can't blame the kid for finishing the fight. It doesn't take much for someone to get bloodied up in a brawl, and oftentimes, that STILL won't stop a guy. If the guy's got a busted or black eye, then that's what he gets for starting a fight. If you ask me, it seems this kid hardly got hurt at all. Don't start fights you can't finish.

Holmes took to Twitter to defend himself. I really want to believe him.
To all the people who care and know me, thanks for being here for me in this situation....— Michael Holmes (@MHolmesRB20) April 24, 2013
It hurts to know that people really think I'm out here fighting everyone and don'tknow what really happened. I'd never do some things said— Michael Holmes (@MHolmesRB20) April 24, 2013

There were multiple people involved in the fight, so we don't know if Holmes is responsible, and it's certainly not definitive either way, but...

everything court related takes too long
The question is were they sober?
If there's any chance for Holmes to rebound from this, Jimmy Turk will make sure it happens.
Anyone know anything about Jimmy Turk? I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I just get the feeling that he's a slippery lawyer...

If he can get Journell back on the field, I'd say he's pretty good

Hey now, I'm sure Greenberg's daughters are well-behaved. Being easy on the eyes also helps their case.

Now I am more curious to know if Holmes threw the first punch at Barnes or if it was the other way around. Holmes got himself in a messy situation.

Bullies get what they deserve
That story still confuses me. How did the big kid get picked on by the little kid?
Apparently the skinny kid was the cousin of the big kid's ex-girlfriend...
i heard the fat kid stabbed the skinny kid and everybody who's from whatever town they're in is a total thug.
I believe this is in Australia. Was on the news a while back. Australians are thugs

Every court case and fight have two totally different stories that are told!
There are 3 sides to every story: one from person A, one from person B, and the truth. Hopefully, it will all get resolved.
