Would anyone be interested in me adding another forum or forums for ACC and national college football discussion? I feel like the existing football board is centered around just our Hokies. Occasionally I post links pertaining to the ACC, and college football news that I have an opinion on, but not too many other people do the same. At the end of the day, I'd like to open up the floor for discussion, and sharing of links that people want to talk about and get the input from the rest of the community. I don't want people to feel pigeonholed into just talk about Tech, when what's going on at other schools, especially our opponents and conference members, as well as national news (expansion, playoff, etc...) is important.
I think we'll be able to pass through the summer dead zone together better if we're sharing stories, and broadening the topics put up for discussion. I'm interested in everyone's thoughts, any suggestions or feedback? Thanks in advance!

that would be totally cool. i tend to talk about the national stuff more with folks on tumblr, and that's mainly because it's people who root for schools all over the country so more stuff comes to my attention.
you're right about the long, hot summer. things can get pretty slow if no one is leaving the team or getting hurt/arrested.
There's plenty of #goacc stuff to talk about...like Manuel going to the Bills. *chortles*
So yeah, go for it.
No problem in my mind with this, but I've never felt "pidgonholed" here. Always felt free to address whatever came up. TKP is all things to all hokie fans.
Great idea! Talking about Duke's new blacked out helmets, Sammy's registration into Island Day Care, or how I can't wait to watch Smoke Mizzell get trucked by RVD...all great topics!
I'm not sure how you feel about it Joe, but I think a section dedicated to basketball and maybe an additional one for other sports (baseball, wrestling, any others that get posted on occasion) would be helpful.
While I don't mind scrolling through the tracker list to see what's new, sections for football, basketball, and other sports may help streamline some of the discussion if it's feasible.
Again, thanks for all the awesome work that you guys put into the site. It's gratifying to have intellectual conversations about sports and this is one of the few places on the web where I've found that.
Not sure if you missed these, or are talking about something different, but if you click on the Forum link in the header it will take you here: http://www.thekeyplay.com/forum where there are already sections for basketball, and I've added in baseball and olympic sports.
Yep, I completely missed those somehow... I guess I was envisioning tabs at the top of the site, but the forum section works for me!
