With the proper coaching and some more motivation on his part, MD7 could be a real weapon on the field. The question is, will someone take a chance on him in the late rounds?

I say Fuller goes first, then Painter, then Davis. Becton might squeeze in the 7th with as many tackles are being taken.

I like that list. If Al Davis were still kicking I'd say Davis would be a lock to go tonight. I think Bruce gets draft late too. I think he has too much character and football sense for a team to not take a late flyer on him.

I've been always surprised Taylor has seemed to be dropping more and more. For most of the season it looked like he would be our best drafted player. I know his combine wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't terrible. And he had a good game in whatever he was in (East-West?)

After watching all the draft stuff thus far I started to think about next years draft and what VT is going to lose next year. Wow. The more you think about the potential the upcoming seniors have and if they play to that potential there could be a bunch of early rounders and many that could potentially at least make practice squads for NFL teams. Thomas, Coles, Exum, Gayle, Tyler, Edwards, Fuller, Hopkins, Collins, Miller. Now granted most of these guys are not going to make it but if they played lights out and up to their potential we could have a "special" season and all have the potential to be considered.

I know last year was a rough one but we do have a bunch of quality seniors. It is really sad to think that next year we are losing so many starters. It is a lot to ask for this to be our year to make another National Championship run but why not? We have quality players that if they come together as a team with good leadership and a nasty attitude, then we could be mighty.

I think the consensus is that our success/failure is really in the hands of 6 positions..one is 6'6" and the rest are the 300+ pound guys...
