In Weaver's defense, does he have any say in uniforms or game times? I thought the game times were chosen by ACC TV, and that nike chooses the uniforms? If nike doesn't supply us with Maroon Jerseys, we can't wear them.

Yes I dig the helmet. I would love to see a maroon matte finish and glossy maroon logo with either white or orange stripe. I never love the tracks personally but oh well. I sure hope Nike designs some new looks for us. I feel like there were some internal folks designing it last year and we looked pretty weak.

Guessing/betting these will the unis for the LOLUVA game. Nike announced the pro combat unis the Tuesday before the game years prior as part of the lead-in hype. That being said (guessed)...THEY. ARE. AWESOME! Love to see these.
Only concern is the People's Republic of Branding. These unis have both forms of now forbidden logos (tv and turkey)...

I hate WV but those unis are dope. clean design, nicely updated. I wish VT could have something that good. But alas...they probably will go with a cartoon hokie again.

My problem with our uniforms over the last years has been we have no identity (although one could argue the lack of identity is an identity...but I digress). I have no problem with us being Penn State (same uniforms for the last 500 years) or Oregon (changing after every quarter)…but not both. We should decide if we want to be cutting edge and let Nike go wild or say we’re old school and go to the Vick style (or even the throwbacks we’ve “kinda” been using the last few years). For God’s sake, WVU has become a bigger brand than VT…W.V.U…let that sink in…

I was a huge fan of the maroon home unis with the modern "VT" logo on the helment and then the all whites with the "TV" logo for away games that we wore back when Logan looked like a top 5 pick. Alas, they've gone and outlawed the old logo now.

I think you're on to something there. We need to figure out who those people who love noon kickoffs are and use them to get what we want.

Unfortunately not. Between the retired logos and the rather poorly photoshopped numbers, these are sadly not real.
