Lil' Johnny Swofford is feeling mighty bold these days. He's floating the idea of ACC-Europe. The full read is in a Dennis Dodd column at CBS sports:

So how would you feel about a neutral site game in say...Paris?

HELL NO, WE WON'T GO!
France would probably just straight up surrender to Foster and Grimes
SACRE BLEU!

Hey! France doesn't discriminate....they'd surrender to Duke or UVA, too.
Wait so the LOLUVA would surrender to themselves? haha
The bigger question is: will the Londoners know that Mike London is an ex-cop?
Speaking of LOLUVA, if we send them over there to play, can we leave them?
Would you really want to give up our annual victory over their soft football team?
What a truckload of manure! There is NO interest in football overseas, and minimal interest in basketball. This is just a ploy to gain exposure, plain and simple. Notre Dame's roadshow in Dublin was just that; I'm sure they had to give away tickets even to get the attendance they had (ESPN listed the fans at 49,000, "mostly visiting Americans".) If they want to try a game over there, do it with basketball, but definitely not with football (less exposure, more people and equipment to transport.)
absolutely horrible idea.
well the uk is on my bucket list.
if the timing was right i would consider going if tech was involved.
I mean if Duke, Wake Forest or another lesser ACC football team surrendered a home game I would be ok with it. It would be good to get the brand out. But if it meant one less game in Lane I would be pissed
I mean, if we want to make London suffer by forcing them to watch BC/Wake, then sure.
Well, I found my new twitter picture.
Somehow...that seem so fitting.
The Hokies is his Waterloo.
you know, vt actually has a quidditch team

Quidditch is the new LARP
We may also file this under #goacc
Terrible idea. The problem of the ACC in Europe is not interest in sports such as football, but interest in amateur sports. In virtually all of Europe, and pretty much all over the world, the idea of collegiate sports does not exist (except for rowing in England). It is a hard sell to show off American professional sports in Europe. Selling a match of collegiate teams would be like England sending over teams from the Football League instead of the Premier League. Who wants to see a match of Nottingham Forest & Leeds United?
this is horrible, lets work on our acc brand here, one of the best things about college football is the games being at different school and the environment each one creates. just because nd did it does not mean the rest of the league should join in
What's the most dominant sport in Europe?
Football! In American term, that is called soccer.

Would there be fan favorites amongst European countries?...I can see LOLUVA being the favorite of Frenchmen.
Ha! I already have to get up before 10 to watch our nooners here in Mountain Time...
That'd be a niner on the wrong coast... really makes it difficult to have a good pre-game buzz!
That would mean I would have to get up at 2 in order to have the ribs done for the pregame tailgate. Nah that would just be a stay awake until after the game!
