According to him, yes it is. Hokies were thought to be his early leader way back when, but it looks like we're going to strap in and see how this one plays out.

From what I've been reading, that may actually be a good sign for us. From all indications, FSU has been the leader despite all the crap thrown out there on the twitterverse. So if his recruitment is "open", that might mean (and this is all speculation, of course), someone at FSU - and hopefully not Tech - rubbed him the wrong way.
Either way, we knew it would be a tough recruitment, so lets hope this keeps the pedal to the metal.
On a related note, JC Shurburtt was on Bill King this morning and he indicated Holmes would prefer to play TE in college, and that he could ultimately become the best TE in the nation given his frame and athleticism. I have no idea how adept he is at catching passes, but he could be a monster in Loeffler's system.
Well that's perfect! We're going to need new lineman or possibly another quarterback to throw in the mix so he'll fit right in! :D

me too, i was all kinds of mixed up till i opened the thread
