After the great tournament run for the Hokies, it is safe to say that they are a lock for the NCAA Tournament field. In fact, there is even the possibility of hosting a regional in Blacksburg! Tune into ESPNU tomorrow at 12:00 for the selection show, or if you can't be near a TV, give me a follow on twitter and I will be sure to update you on everything happening during the show!
Happy Memorial Day and Go Hokies!

UPDATE: Virginia Tech will host the regional!

5 out of 16 hosts are ACC. Pretty impressive!
Go Hokie Baseball.
Sweet. Maybe if we play on Saturday I'll make the trip back down to Blacksburg.
Blacksburg Regional:
#1 Virginia Tech
#2 Oklahoma
#3 Coastal Carolina
#4 Connecticut
That is not an easy region at all. OU won the Big 12 and UConn is on a hot streak right now after winning the Big East. It's gonna be tough getting out of this.
so how does it work for the next round? assuming vt wins the region what are the odds we'd host a super regional?
i know i'm gettting ahead of myself, just curious.
Tech's regional is paired with the LSU regional...so if Tech advances they would go to Baton Rogue since they're a higher rated seed! Tech could host if LSU loses but highly unlikely
Word is the Frankinator donated $5,000.00 in tickets so the Hokie faithful could show up in force this weekend.
Somebody donated tickets to the students, but I don't think it was Frank. From what I read, he donated $5000 to allow all athletic department employees to attend.
Here is a tweet from Andrew Rash about it, not sure how accurate it is:
And the article about Frank buying out the left field area for Athletic Staff.

I don't think I've ever heard this mentioned about VT, it's a very, very refreshing change.
