Anyone know anything about their position depth behind him? Only other player on that team I can name without looking him up is QB Jacoby Brissett.

It hurts a little, but he isn't their best back and they are very talented but young behind him.
Truthfully, given their competition thus far in the season I have no idea how good their running game is.
No doubt they'll take a step back with real competition, but its a legit talented backfield

scrimmagegame and 9 tds.But who have they played? It's kind of like Pitts running stats. Yes their rb is avg 100 yds a game but he got 200 in the first game, then 87 and then like 13 or something against Akron. They had less than 100 yds on the ground I believe against Akron.
Yeah they won't do that well when they face us because we have a stout run def...oh.

Maybe I'm completely out of line for saying this but he really got kicked off the team for hitting someone with his moped? That's like one step above running into someone on your bike, which I did many times on campus in Blacksburg in my day. I get that a moped is considered a registered vehicle and must abide by all traffic laws, but the biggest difference between a moped and a car to me is you can't kill someone by running them over with a moped. (At least I think it would be very difficult).
To me, his dismissal sounds like the last straw given his previous run-ins with the law.
He got kicked off the team for repeated violations of the law. This one was just the last straw.

That was my conclusion once I finished reading the article. But that one act alone would have been a tough sell for me as a coach.

He ran over a pedestrian while riding a motorized vehicle on the sidewalk.
Then he left the scene.
It sounds like a dumbed-down "hit and run" to me. It clearly wasn't "ok" that he left the scene, since there was a police report filed and he was charged.
Police found Thornton, 22, in his apartment at the College Inn Residence Hall nearby. They charged him with failure to stop and render aid and failure to provide information. A traffic citation states that Thornton was also charged with driving on the sidewalk and operating an unregistered vehicle. Court records show Thornton paid a $500 bond and was back at home just after midnight.
Just for the record, people do die in moped accidents. If you google "hit by moped" and death, you'll find a few.
I don't know all the details, but it sounds like it wasn't full blown "hit and run". He stopped to check out the guy and had a conversation with him, just didn't stick around for the police. He probably didn't even know a report was going to be filed. I probably would have done the same thing, unless the guy that got hit told him he was calling the police (again I don't know the details), in which case he should have stuck around. I guess I just picture it differently where the guy that got hit was telling him he was okay, just going to walk to the on-campus clinic to get checked out and so Thorton took off. Maybe at the clinic the doctor told him to file a report or something. But all the other stuff about driving without registration, helmet, on the sidewalk, inexcusable. Similar to being kicked off the team, I'm guessing his arrest is more associated with the accumulation of these minor infractions.

It was THORNTON's lawyer who said they had a conversation afterwards, but if you note the charges, they're saying he didn't provide information, so something was up with that.

I think you're correct, but the difference in weight, riding posture, engine size etc is essentially negligible. I consider the naming of either interchangeable.
