look I am happy for the win

I think we are going to win the ACC but this should be Frank's last year. This is the year we get Mempish's head coach.

1. Frank will save his job
2. Frank will not be able to win with the players he has
3. Frank will not recruit the players he needs
4. We need the players recruited now to win in three years

Holy crap. It's too early in the day for this fuckery

You guys keep putting my grandma's picture on here and I'm going to sue you!

The season should be reviewed in its entirety when it's over. Take the good with the bad and decide where we're headed. Can we not have a thread about how Frank is done after EVERY game, irrespective of outcome? At some point it's just noise.

"Exit light..."

At this point, it's obvious that Frank won't be around much longer so let's try and just try appreciate his final days as the head man.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

I will agree with the first poster but say that we just put a clearly injured second string qb out there against a bottom half ACC opponent at best.

A new season...new hope

"a clearly injuryed second string qb "

Ehh....not sure how "injured" he is. He has acted like he's hurt every time he takes a hit since he's been at VT

Since when is this so abnormal? I once saw MV1 play in a boot.

Yes, please not one of these threads after every game. But it did give me my first opportunity to down vote a forum topic, so I got that going for me.

Frank just won with the players he has

"We were at the pinnacle, and we did it for years," Foster says. He pauses, nods, takes a deep breath. "And I did it with the best guy in the business."

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

no we need to look past the victory of a lower tier opponent and see the real truth

A new season...new hope

"The real truth" is that, despite many assertions to the contrary last week, we can still beat lower tier opponents.

And I would call NC State mid-tier at best. Lower tier ACC teams' seasons end in November, and I have State going bowling.

Alcohol

Using /s is for cowards.

Is that the cause or the solution?

Alcohol is, by chemical definition, a solution.

That Heisenberg fella knows his chemicals.

I would say that's the cause but if it's enough it could be the solution too.

Yes.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

...seriously, am I drunk. What the fck am I reading in this thread

I wish I could give the Dowager Countess of Grantham more legs.

It truly is a brilliant use of that gif.

Look, I am absolutely pumped for the win. I would be absolutely pumped if we ran the table and won the ACC.

But.

I also think it's *extremely* important to keep all emotions in check regardless of any game outcomes. Don't let good results blind you of underlying issues and don't let bad results shadow good things you see. It's a long season and we can see many more good or bad results. Like GuitarMan said, review everything when the season's over. With all that being said we don't need a future of frank thread after every game. I would love to see him have a great season that he can hang his hat come January personally. So while I agree with OP (in that this is Frank's last season), lets enjoy these moments.

That was really ramblish but fuck it.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

I completely agree with this. And according to Beamer's book, which I finally got around to reading, it's how Beamer approaches things too.

I know fans I've seen around here wanted fire and brimstone after those tough losses, at some level keeping an even keel is more productive in the long run. Own up an make changes, yes, but keep things in perspective and don't lose your head.

*sigh*

Anyone think it odd that Mack Brown brought up PJ Fleck? Compared him being 1 year younger than beamer has coached. With all the speculation thought it was timely.

We won a football game. Let's fucking go.

Every second counts

You guys so realize that might have been our last night home game under Frank, so enjoy it as much as possible.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Very happy for the team and coaches on the win tonight. Did anyone see that beautiful screen pass to JC? Um, we could use that play a little more often. I formation? Where have these play calls been? Let's keep the MO into Miami!

I thought the same exact thing. Then I remembered that he and Frank are buds and was even more intrigued.

Anyone else read the headline and post in their Kanya voice over?
