This is probably the ACC game I'm most worried about. Glad they have a short week too (Saturday against UNC (Marshall for us)), but still this will probably be a tough game like it always is. Glad our defense has a lot of experience against them, and I'm sure Bud will have them ready to eat GT's guts and ask for seconds. If I was coaching, I'd try to give our 1st-string as much of a break against Marshall, once we've built a comfortable lead. '
But our offense absolutely must score early and often. They need to rush the ball consistently to give the defense some help and regroup after every series.

Easier said than done. Besides Bowling Green last year, VT didn't have a comfortable lead on any FBS opponent. Also, Marshall scores a lot of points and was in every game last year except for WVU game. WVU scored 5 TDs in the first half, not sure VT has that kind of firepower.

C'mon, be realistic, the new Hokie offense will destroy every defense it encounters with huge numbers! This is a foregone conclusion.
