Had a cool weekend in Seattle and Found a One Time Champion that filled their Trophy Case

I'm not an NFL Fan more than knowing where the Hokies in the NFL are, and currently I'm in last in my fantasy league. But I thought it was really cool to see the Lombardi Trophy
What was even cooler is the story of Seahawks.
No one said we aren't good enough to win
No one said we don't have the traditions to win
The coach was in
The owner was in
So, Why not us too?

Any time the Empty Trophy Case is mentioned.
I love this kind of story. Thanks for sharing Jpoole.
If only the NCAA had a salary cap and a draft.
It might come to that one day.
It's going to be sad for all those Bama players taking a pay cut...
We already have a salary cap. It's $0*.
* Player's stated salary does not include tuition, room, board, strip club tips, private stripper tips, car loan principal payments, surf & turf, airfare, bus fare, and other necessary expenses as determined by REDACTED. If player is at any time required to pay union fees, this salary and all associated benefits shall be considered null and void.
Was that at the EMP Museum in Seattle?
If not, they have something similar there. (I moved out here a year ago.)
Yea, awesome museum. Wish I lived there and could go back
Pete Carroll buying in on the NFL level = Super Bowl.
Pete Carroll buying in on the NCAA level = vacated win and sanctions (not sure, wasn't the title vacated as well?)
Same coach.
I'm not sure if you understand what USC was investigated for or why it was penalized so hard.
Thats it. One player had met with NFL agents with benefits including airfare for his parents to watch him at games. Yea it's not amateurism....but seriously NCAA...O that's right the NCAA was needing to restore its credibility in 2010 and chose USC to show it was a creditable organisation
The Ap has not vacated it's 2004 NC game
Are you saying that College coaches (not just Carroll, but others) do not know when players are getting paid? Are you saying that Carroll felt the call of the NFL so strong he left USC for Seattle? The man knew what kind of racket he was running and left town before the other shoe dropped. That is the coach he is, I think we can safely assume he is not a babe-in-the-woods victim of circumstance.
It's been a decade, what other shoe has dropped? Did Saben go the Dophins for the same reason, or Jimmy Johnson Leave the U for the same reason?
Yea I'm sure it's willful ignorance, but 1 player getting caught outside of football operations is a coach out of control and deserves for the school to be brought to the ground? The NCAA just F'd up big with Paterno and need a redemption for public outcry and found it in USC.
Players getting paid vs players having underage sex vs DUI vs assault charges vs rape. there are far worse things being swept under the carpet by all teams . The NCAA need to make an example.
edit spelling
I'm not saying there is more to come out of USC, I was simply saying that he knew sanctions and scholarship limits were coming and bounced.
USC got lit up because instead of cooperating with the investigation they gave the NCAA the finger.
I love that trophy case. It does not embarrass me.
It took a pair of stones bigger than most people have to put it out, and Virginia Tech should never, ever move it until it is filled. It can happen.
