Who else is following them? My Rangers seem to be the Caps' kryptonite in the post-season, and Washington looked apathetic Monday night.
I expect the Blackhawks to win the West, and will pose a huge challenge to whoever wins the East (please let it be the Rangers).
I swear the intensity of Hockey crowds is hard to match for any indoor event. But a game 7 in the NHL Playoffs is hard to compare to anything else in sports. Just ask the Bruins and Maple Leafs.

I've always wanted to get into hockey, but for me to get into a game or sport I need to be able to understand the tactics/strategies involved. I just don't see any in Hockey.
Fans always say there is a ton of strategy if you know what you're looking for, but clearly I don't. Are there any books/websites/articles you could recommend for a crash course in hockey schemes?

That or a great website for Ranger fans, Blue Seat Blogs (http://www.blueseatblogs.com/) which has a section explaining hockey strategy. Next time you watch, see how a team forechecks, or attacks the offensive zone, to see how they set up and move the puck ("cycle") down low. Also watch how teams line up in the defensive zone.
Go Bruins! This team is so inconsistent and last series was amazing. Blackhawks seem to be the most talented team and will be the favorite for every other series.

Brutal loss for my Blueshirts tonight. Two soft goals after Lundqvist was so good vs Capitals, and then a bad turnover in OT.
Very exciting game 1. Im going to say the better team won tonight. Jagr just doesnt have the gas to play on the second line in the final period anymore. Cant wait to see how the rest of the series plays out tonight.

yeah the caps shit the bed in game 7...being a fan it was pretty hard to watch, as far as excuses go...I hate making them and I dont think it would have made a difference but ovechkin is a badass! the dude had a fractured foot!!!! #manpoints

Still is mourning over the fact that the Kings eliminated my Blues for the second straight year, even though we outplayed them in just about every game.
I'm not the biggest Hockey fan, but it would of been nice for my Caps to break all the DC sports norms and at least go to the finals of the playoff.. Maybe the Skins will next season.. sigh

LA just seems to be built for the playoffs. It seems like they got hot at the right time for the second year in a row. I think they can beat the Blackhawks if they both advance.
I like the Boston/New York series. hopefully the winner of this series goes to the Finals. I can't stand the Penguins so I hope the Senators can get the upset. Either way, I just want to watch some great hockey
