Guess CFB gets to send players on a bus ride one last time. Shame that Clarke's career will end without playing in the bowl.

Sucks but nice to see Frank is not letting them get away with anything even on the last run
I guess his potential replacement will get a head-start for next year.
Its going to be Edmunds
What in the world is there in Shreveport that is worth breaking curfew for?
Andy Bitter wrote that it wasn't because of curfew, but rather for violation of team rules.
Don't think it matters where Deon is....he finds a way to participate in his "activities"
Casinos
Small town strippers have a special kind of allure. Sorry I'm going to skip the requisite pic.
Unfortunately these guys must have missed the bowl trip pre departure "Small town strippers and casinos, they'll get after ya" speech. That is certainly the main reason I can't go to Shrevehole
Tulsa?...Shreveport?...senior?...meh
Sometimes, boys will be boys. I bet it was hard for Frank to lay the hammer down. Shame, for sure.
I guess he forgot to watch the "Corey Moore Ain't Having It" video. Should be required team viewing before every bowl game. You're there for a reason, so NO DISTRACTIONS.

Mike Barber's story on Clarke and Asante being sent home:
I don't want to talk ill of any players off the field issues, but the net positive is that Tremaine Edmunds will get a head start on gaining experience to be a more dependable starter next year. Clarke had talent, but it speaks pretty poorly that a senior can't manage himself. Not to mention those alignment errors that plagued him versus Duke and UNC.
Knowles time started positively with his big catch versus Georgia Tech. It was all down hill from there. Asante was way more trouble than he proved to be worth on the field. I think it speaks volumes of the character off all three guys to make it to the last game of their careers and then screw the pooch enough to be removed from the team.
This would be my reaction when handed that bus ticket. I think the athletic department finds the longest, most convoluted transportation home, IIRC. Short of making them walk back.
But if you mess up, you deserve the results.
Dumbasses. Think it will come up in a job interview?
Gonna be a long bus ride home. Lol
...and that bus terminal in Shreveport is shady as fuck. I used to bus it down to San Antonio from Shreveport back before I didn't have a car.
Apparently bus rides home are only for violation of curfew now. They were "sent home" via other means.
Anything stopping him from buying a plane ticket?
Plane tickets TO the game weren't cheap. I can't imagine a last minute ticket from Shreveport being any cheaper. Particularly for a 22 yr old college senior.
Ugh, I've made that bus ride and it blows. Went home for spring break my sophomore year at Tech with a friend from Shreveport. Her truck broke down on the way there and we had to ride the bus back 36 hours to Blacksburg. Brutal.
Without saying a word, I thought it spoke volumes that the only seniors who were given captaincies were Luther Maddy, Ryan Malleck, and Michael Brewer. The guys who I have consistently heard set the standard for working hard are Chuck Clark, Isaiah Ford, and Sam Rogers, and it is no accident that we saw those guys named captains down the stretch.
Coleman is one for the bowl game for what it's worth
I meant to include Ekanem as well. Ford, Malleck, Clark, Ekanem, and Rogers are the underclassmen I always hear about as leading by example.
Unfortunately, Malleck is a senior.
one too many breakfast biscuits
Put them on the DC-3 from Major League.
Know one knows why but Deon and those associated with the team. The Rest is speculation. Hate to see a guy miss his last game.
