New 2018 DT Walk-On Commit?

I was just looking on 247 and under our 2018 DT offers it lists Brian Caine as a walk-on commit. I'm not on twitter or any of those sites, has anyone else heard anything about this?

Here's the 247 link

Any word on Sobczak coming back?

It has him committing to us and UVA the same day (the 25th) so something is fishy

Additionally, I highly down he has offers at LSU and Alabama at 5'9 as a DT and then walks on somewhere.........we done got catfished, duped, bamboozled.

Jeremiah 29:11 and Go Hokies!

He has offers from Alabama, LSU, and Incarnate Word? Seems like a three way race for this guy...

That's pretty funny. Only thing funnier would be if they added the category "Cold" to interest.

Guess the guy could be a long-snapper extraordinaire, but it's tough for position players at 5'9", much less interior lineman.

Any of you fellow grizzled Hokies remember we had like a 5'9" NT circa 1980 - I believe his name was Thor Kritsky? He was actually a pretty good player, from what I remember.

Seem to recall that name from the mid-80s Dooley years.

After his playing years, wasn't Thor involved with running TOTS? I seem to recall him working there circa '82 to '86. Definitely a beefy guy who was previously on the football team.

Yes, I think you're spot on - he was involved with TOTS. I recall he might have been the doorman/bouncer there on occasion. I think he was done playing by about 1982.
