No surprises in the latest poll numbers except this: Scott Wolf, LA Daily News, ranked LOLUVA #22, and has VT unranked.
So I ask you, do you think he is:
- Intoxicated?
- Delusional?
- A really bad typist?
Enquiring minds want to know.
You can see how each of the pollsters ranked VT at collegepolltracker.com
P.S. - Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it.

Was posted on Twitter but not here. You have to think it is an honest mistake but after he also put Iowa State in at #24 that made me question whether is was a mistake or not. Either way that is why the AP Poll is a joke overall.
No, that is why the AP poll has many entrants, to even out the very few that mess up. Vast majority of voters put in a ton of work and the poll in general does a great job. Bitter writes a column every week discussing how he came to his ranking. He's certainly the rule, not the exception.
Yeah I read Bitter's "How I voted" column each week and think he does a pretty dang good job with it. He often says how hard it is to rank and I agree with him but it seems like after looking through the poll tracker data that some voters clearly don't put the due diligence in. That's up to them and they real have lives too, but based on the other voters I wouldn't say the vast majority of voters put in a Andy Bitter level effort.
Got stoned and missed it?
Assuming the CFP poll follows suit, that makes us the third highest ranked ACC team. If, by some miracle, Clemson and Miami both make the playoffs, we can sneak into the Orange Bowl.
This is in another current thread but wouldn't Notre Dame get that slot before us?
Apologies if I just missed the /s that you might have intended for the end of that question. Otherwise . . .
How many times do we have to explain that Notre Dame CANNOT take the ACC spot in the Orange Bowl?
Probably a lot to me bc I'm an idiot and don't read about it enough
Theoretically the Orange could pick Notre Dame to fill the SEC/B1G slot that faces off against the first non-playoff ACC team.
Yeah, but doubtful this year. I think the loser if the SECCG finishes ranked higher than ND, and guarantee if Wiscy losses to OSU they'll be ranked ahead of ND.
EDIT: Almost impossible for the OB to take ND this year. Penn State is ranked ahead of them and neither team plays another game. Regardless of what happens in the B1GCG, there's no reason for pollsters to flip flop Penn State and ND in the final rankings.
What bowl would we likely get otherwise?

I was wondering how the hell UVA got 4 votes in the AP Poll.
Probably an honest mistake, likely meant VT. But our twitter mafia will put him on blast like we always do. Sigh.
LA Daily News. Doesn't know the difference between Virginia and Virginia Tech. West Coast bias. Complete dumbass. Take your pick.
E. All of the Above
So, I currently live on the west coast. Some people here haven't even heard of Virginia Tech(mostly if they don't follow sports). If they have heard of VT, they somehow think we've been traditionally better at basketball than football...........
Where at on the west coast? Here in San Diego there is actually a VT Bar..so people have definitely heard of us out here...
It does seem to have been a mistake, since I no longer see UVA in the others-receiving-votes list, but it still reflects badly on Wolf to be so careless.
I also couldn't care less about the AP poll, to be honest.
There is only 1 poll that matters. Why bother with the other 12?
