Noticed this tidbit about last year's 3rd string running back at Ohio St Antonio Williams (290yds, 3 scores) transferring to North Carolina in April and receiving a hardship waiver to become eligible to play this season.

Not a bad pickup for the heels, at least on paper. Williams, a former 4-star (.9286 via 247) recruit, was the #7 RB in the nation, 5th rated prospect in NC, in the Class of 2016 class. From New London, NC - so he is headed back closer to home.

Thanks for the additional info, I probably should have put this info up in the original post, but glad you took care of it.
I see that VT was not originally recruiting him which explains why he may not have thought of transferring to Tech.
Hopefully going forward VT is on the majority of lists for four star players (as long as they fit our systems), and we're considered for transfers like this.

Doesn't matter Fedora won't hand off the ball. He has had NFL RB's in the past and didn't run the ball.

I want to preface this comment with the disclaimer that I am by no means implying anything about Williams' mental faculties. I am absolutely implying something about UNC's faculty.
The old joke about Ohio State went something like Q: "What does it take to get a degree at OSU?"; A: "A drive around the Horseshoe."
Which of course now leads to the question: "What does it take to get a degree at UNC?"

There was construction on I-40 and I had to take a detour through chapel hill. They mistakenly handed me a degree when I was stopped at an intersection near campus. It was really awkward...
