boy when it rains it pours
I see what you did there
Classic hurricane joke.
Speaking of rain, this is likely an omen for their season...

For what? Going to class?
Academic misconduct, no big deal but make a dime off of NCAA merch, pile on the penalty.
The sport of football is under attack!
America may not make it!
My sources tell me the 13 players are all accused of going to real classes.
Edit:
Wonder if one is that clown DB who talked shit the whole game last year while they trailed by 40 as Cam Phillips continued to make him his bitch
Very easily could begin the season 1-3 after looking at their schedules without these players. Hopefully it comes to fruition.
I could very easily see 1-5, since their next two are @ U and home for VT. At that point I think Fedora will have lost the team.
I could see them going 1-6 with those players actually participating on the field. UNCheat is not very good.
So where is Fedora coaching in 2019?
Saban will probably need a new car washer by then.
I doubt Fedora can get in the crevices like I can, plus, he doesn't know my secret to getting Little Debbie cake frosting out of the leather seams.
They staggered the suspensions so their starting DE's wouldn't miss all the same games under the guise of "player safety" lol.
Yeah, I noticed that.
I'm trying to figure out how having both DEs out at the same time would impact player safety, and I'm still scratching my head.
I took it to mean that they think the backups at that position would be at an unacceptably high risk of injury.
Hmmm....since when is playing true freshmen an injury risk?
I think they're going to take some heat for this, but then again, they didn't care about all the heat they took for cheating, so.....meh, I guess.
My guess is that without being able to rotate in a normal number of substitutes, players would have to stay on the field for many more snaps than usual and their conditioning might not adequately prepare them. If fatigued, they're at greater risk for injury.
The utter ridiculousness of this ruling aside (they could play true freshman AND NOT EVEN BURN THEIR REDSHIRTS!!!)...
Malik Carney is their best pass rusher and I am very ok with him standing and watching our game in sky-blue pajamas
Finally, justice.
The major takeaway from this movie, outside of the many Emma gifs it provided the internet, was that it is incredibly easy to rob rich people, especially if they live in a very ritsy, safe area.
What's the name of that movie?
Edit: I remembered. Bling Ring.
I swear it looks like she says "I'm a firm believer in Carmax"
Thank God we have UNC and UVA to remind us it can always get worse.
I think the main takeaway is that a couple of them are smart enough to sell the shoes for $2500 and some of them are too stupid to realize this and sold theirs for as little as $150.
Yeah this was the piece I was missing on what led to the difference in suspensions if they all sold shoes. Hadnt seen mention of the dollar amounts or the number of pairs sold.
lolunc.
So they'll be well rested when we pants them in Week 6
Some UNC football players just read your comment and sold their pants to outsmart us.
Like UNC players can read
Jokes on them. They were team issued pants and they just committed another violation.
it's a start
So I guess Pitt gets an easy W.
Oddly, this doesn't puzzle Narduzzi.
References to that press conference will always get a leg from me!
I LOVE that video.
Amazing how the NCAA can go after stuff like this and handout punishments, but they shit their pants when the big issues occur.
still more ACC caliber players than LOLUVa
WINNER!!!!!
Cue the excuses for their impending loss to us in October
Nah, just means their guys will be somewhat fresh when we beat them down mid-season.
They really sold their souls to win in 2015 in Frank Beamer's last game in Blacksburg. It's been all downhill since.
The game winning touchdown was an incomplete pass too. But the refs were in a hurry to go home.
What a bunch of multi-billionaire dorks.
I didn't even realize they had fans who cared about football enough to buy memorabilia like this
They probably weren't fans of UNC, but any Jordan collector is going to pay big bucks for a limited edition special.
For example -
Top Ten Prices Paid for Jordan Shoes (and these are the legal known ones)
1 Air Jordan 12 (Flu Game) – $104,000
2 Air Jordan 12 OVO – $100,000
3 Air Jordan Silver Shoe (Autographed) – $60,000
4 Air Jordan 2 OG – $31,000
5 Air Jordan I (Autographed) – $25,000
6 Air Jordan 1 (Black and Gold) – $25,000

Here are the shoes at the heart of this mess
My other post was a joke thinking it was game worn gear. I can totally see these shoes causing a mess
Shoes that have their own video of them just sitting there.
lol
Was it rain gear?
No, they never had any.
But I am sure all the basketball players are completely innocent and have not made any mi$$teps...
So this is only barely removed from "Tattoo-gate" (the media really has to come up with another way to refer to behind the scenes scandals other than event-gate) where Ohio State players were selling or trading team issued gear and memorabilia for tattoos. Remember how the NCAA dropped the hammer on the other scandals mentioned in that article:
As shocking as the Ohio State case was when it broke, it has since been overshadowed by three other scandals in college sports. Former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was charged with more than 50 criminal counts related to child sex abuse, an ex-Syracuse basketball assistant coach was fired after being accused of fondling boys and young men, and a University of Miami booster caught masterminding a Ponzi scheme claimed he provided money, cars and even prostitutes to Hurricanes athletes.
What about:
The Tattoo Fiasco
Ohio State Tattoo Rebate
Trading Tat's
From Bucks to Drawn
The Great Ohio State Tattoo Caper
More?
Would you call this controversy over what to call Tattoogate Tattoogategate?
Ohio State Tattoo Rebate - That's a BINGO!

So let me get this straight...
You have a bunch of 18-22 year olds, who come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and go to school in a culture where class isn't a priority, nor is following NCAA rules. Now you're going to give all these kids a pair of rare, collectible Jordans in a world where Jordans are coveted by many.
They REALLY didn't expect that any of these individuals would be enterprising enough to capitalize on this?!?!
They didn't have a class for that...
yes, they did, but their tutors took all the attendance quizzes for them
No, they just expected them to not get caught. It is an unspoken perk. This is why coaches sell themselves as a school that wears Jordan branded merchandise. It is not because Jordan makes vastly superior cleats.
The reselling of school issued shoes is not a new or rare occurrence. I think it was Jamarcus Russell or someone else at LSU that got caught with a whole closet full of brand new shoes.
Whew, glad VT doesn't have to worry about this. Purdue or UVA would get a custom shoe in the Nike pecking order before we would
Whenever I see a story like this, I think of the Steve Spurrier quote about playing Georgia early in the season,
Source
The real question is- did they get their Business 110 credits for it?
