Offensive lineman Brian Anderson, defensive end Malik Carney, wide receiver Beau Corrales, defensive end Tomon Fox, defensive end Tyrone Hopper, offensive lineman Quiron Johnson, linebacker Malik Robinson, quarterback Chazz Surratt and offensive lineman Jordan Tucker will each sit out four games. Defensive backs Greg Ross and Tre Shaw will miss two games, and quarterback Jack Davidson and offensive lineman Jonah Melton will miss one, per a school release.

I could very easily see 1-5, since their next two are @ U and home for VT. At that point I think Fedora will have lost the team.

I'm trying to figure out how having both DEs out at the same time would impact player safety, and I'm still scratching my head.
I took it to mean that they think the backups at that position would be at an unacceptably high risk of injury.
Hmmm....since when is playing true freshmen an injury risk?
I think they're going to take some heat for this, but then again, they didn't care about all the heat they took for cheating, so.....meh, I guess.
My guess is that without being able to rotate in a normal number of substitutes, players would have to stay on the field for many more snaps than usual and their conditioning might not adequately prepare them. If fatigued, they're at greater risk for injury.
The utter ridiculousness of this ruling aside (they could play true freshman AND NOT EVEN BURN THEIR REDSHIRTS!!!)...
Malik Carney is their best pass rusher and I am very ok with him standing and watching our game in sky-blue pajamas

I think the main takeaway is that a couple of them are smart enough to sell the shoes for $2500 and some of them are too stupid to realize this and sold theirs for as little as $150.
Yeah this was the piece I was missing on what led to the difference in suspensions if they all sold shoes. Hadnt seen mention of the dollar amounts or the number of pairs sold.

So let me get this straight...
You have a bunch of 18-22 year olds, who come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and go to school in a culture where class isn't a priority, nor is following NCAA rules. Now you're going to give all these kids a pair of rare, collectible Jordans in a world where Jordans are coveted by many.
