Abita amber with a little gentleman jack thrown in for good measure. Watching from the west coast so I could imbibe and still make a respectful bed time. Go hokies!!

I play the game locally (look at the current inventory Friday afternoon on the VA ABC website), but get most of my bourbon from Tennessee. There is a store in Knoxville that has "unobtanium bourbon" on the shelves, which is on the way to my folks place.

"How many of the Buffalo Trace do you have?"
"you want fifths or 1.75s?"
"Fifths is fine"
"Last I saw we have 8"
"Bottles?"

PBR. Before the game I decided that I was going to shotgun one every time VT scored a touchdown. I was hoping for a couple more shotguns and maybe one puke session off the front porch, but I'll take the win and absence of a hangover during class tomorrow I guess.

Since the wife was out of town, I did not think it was a good idea for me to walk into an ABC store carrying a 6 month old to pick up a bottle of John J Bowman for the game. Looks like I will be drinking Maker's 46 this year.

First time ever had bourbon, neat at the start of each half (not a teetotaler, but have a personal history that's always biased me against bourbon). Seems like a new tradition has been started.

Did a jolly rancher shot (or two heh) before pregame then did an Azza (I dunno, it was on mixology when I entered my drinks) which was just one part malibu and one part peach schnapps.
It was a good game.

Picked up my first bottle of Buffalo Trace - I guess that's what I'll be drinking for the rest of the season. Nice flavor - paired well with a thrashing of the Seminoles.

Picked up the last available bottle in my buddy's package store - Delaware. I'll have to ask him to hold a few for me next time he gets a shipment. This is a great bourbon for $35. Couldn't believe it.

Had a hell of a weekend. Sunday brunch from 10a-10p. Drank two busch lights last night and decided that I simply could not. Switched to water (really, water, not 'water') because I had to have something to nerve drink while pacing around the house. Pros: when I jumped up and down and spilled a bunch, just water so even Mrs. Lwyr (for real now) didn't give a fuck. Cons: fucking had to pee all night.

Beer during the game (had to drive home). Devil's Tramping Ground from Aviator, Dragon's Milk from New Holland, Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA from New Belgium. So amped after the game I had to have a few bourbons to relax and fall asleep while rewatching the game when I got home. Bulliet, Wild Turkey 101 and EW 1783 (which I now stock up on to drink after I've had a couple of anything else), on the rocks. Still got the happy hurting feeling a bit now.

Started off with Larceny and Bulleit, apparently found my way to my keyboard after the game, and finished off with some Quiet Man, which according to drunk Beard is "the good whiskey." But the others aren't awful.

I'm 3 years removed and I still drink Busch for game days. If I drank 26 nice beers yesterday night I'd still be drunk, 26 Busch Lights? Good to go in the morning.

Royal Dutch! It's terrible but I guess now I have to drink it every game.
Hokie Nation appreciates your sacrifice.
Picked up a bottle of this stuff in Lexington on my way back home before the game yesterday. It's pretty tasty.
Bell's Lager of the Lakes
Busch Light. There was some magic in those cans after all.
Did a jolly rancher shot (or two heh) before pregame then did an Azza (I dunno, it was on mixology when I entered my drinks) which was just one part malibu and one part peach schnapps.

depending on what state you live in, they can be hard to find.
Pick them up whenever you see them.

Yeah, they get scarce on Delmarva. Grab em when you see em.
Broke open a bottle of Wild Turkey that will be divided equaly between each away game. Seems like it's bringing good luck.
Devil's Backbone Trail Angel Weiss. Very good stuff.
I had one of those too. Along with half the DB variety pack it came in
A review of the cans piled in front of my television shows Busch Light, Keystone Light, and Coors Light. I am not productive at work today.
Johnnie Walker 18 Year. finished off a birthday bottle.
I had one of these. (And the Arnold Palmers I always have brewed up. Don't judge me, it was a long weekend.)
I'd better hit the grocery store soon, to make sure I have enough for the whole season.
Started with Redemption High Rye Bourbon
Ended with Basil Hayden Dark Rye
Bulliet and water
1st Qtr: Highland Daycation
2nd & 3rd: A helles lager, that I can't remember the brewery of.
4th Qtr: Founders All Day IPA
Obviously we play better when I am drinking a session IPA!

Dragon's Milk can kick your ass. It's like 11% ABV.
That's why I also had the Devil's Tramping Ground Triple and Voodoo Imperials at 9% ABV each. Pace myself.
Get Bent IPA First and second qtrs. Basil Gin Smash at half time, back to the IPA third and fourth qtr.
Started off with Larceny and Bulleit, apparently found my way to my keyboard after the game, and finished off with some Quiet Man, which according to drunk Beard is "the good whiskey." But the others aren't awful.

Got stuck watching the first half on my laptop with closed caption on...didn't wanna jinx anything so finished the game that way.
Am i stuck watching silent games all year?!
I hope that was not in the same glass at the same time. If it was, remind me to keep you away from my liquor collection.
Sweet tea then water when it got later.
