Yeah I have a ton from games. Actually, I liked the print on this year's cups, but the print material flakes off really easily. Bummer for a souvenir cup that costs $38.50

Yes. When I was coming up by myself for game sand had to drive back that night I didn't want to leave the stadium so I walked around and collected a few, watches the press conference on the Jumbotron and once got a security person to let me come down to the field for a few minutes.
If any of the Hokies from Lot 18 wanted to grab me a cup someone else throws away and safe it for me at the BC game I'd be very grateful.

I love the Fighting Gobbler. It might be the next magnet for my car. And since both sides of my car need to be balanced, that means TWO new magnets. Although, I saw one for a lunch pail that I also want. Decisions, decisions.

I stopped bothering with them a while ago, but have a few stacks at home. A fighting gobbler, a hokie respect, an ACC Championship and a pink Balcony cup come to mind, likely because they are on the top of the stack, where you use them more, or on the bottom where you see them when you open the cabinet.

Seriously, 99% of the cups that I use on a regular basis came from Lane Stadium. I had to thin the herd a few years back and gave half to my father-in-law to put in his camper.
I haven't really added to the collection in the last few years. Going to fewer games, not getting drinks, and recently it looks like they're using cheaper throw away cups.

I've noticed this year the game day concession cups seem cheaper quality. They bend a lot more then past several years. I'll see what they use this weekend before i pass judgement.

They've got 2 levels of quality now base on the size of the cups.
Large Cups - Higer Quality, Usually a VT Football image of some sort. Typically only available at the concession stands
Medium Cups - Average Quality. Typically white with maroon lettering/saying. Available at concessions and by the guys schlepping drinks up and down the stands

Months? All you gotta do is run around the stands after a game and make you a couple towers to carry out. Watch out for the ones with dip spit intl then though.

We've got a number of stadium cups around as well as a stack of Hokie House cups from the first time I went out after I turned 21. I asked the bartender for a clean cup to hold on to and he gave me damn near 20. There are also several variations of VT pint glasses inhabiting our cabinets.

We do!
Did somebody say CUP?

Sadly, our Macado's pint glass collection has suffered a casualty this year.
I HAD some from the stadium way back in the day, but that was way back in the day.
The only surviving Tech cup I have is an insulated cup I bought from Dietrick General Store, and the lid is missing. It's a great cup though.

I still have a Hoakies cup!
Obscure reference, lost on younger viewers.
That was the 78 or 79 season, correct?

Fighting Gobblers !!

digging through the internet I found a cup with fighting gobbler wearing a helmet.

Awesome cup.

During college this is the only reason we had cups in our cabinets.
Are y'all talking about the plastic souvenir cups you can get at concessions or is this something different?
We have 8 or so of the smaller white ones that we use for bathroom/water cups, a stack of the bigger ones, and some rail cups for good measure.
Then we have some cups that weren't from Game days.
I have a 12 or so. Enough for beer pong.

I use them daily.
I have exactly one rail cup that was...a gift. I have a feeling that a collection of VT cups could be coming my way in the next few months though.

Unpopular opinion time: this is assuming I want a bunch of VT cups. Cabinet space is at a premium so...priorities. π€·ββοΈ
One thing about noon games, grab a few towers through the stands, wash them, and then use em at the house party that night.
I actually still have the mug they game me my freshmen year orientation, 22 years old now and you can still make out a few hokie things on it...

I grew up drinking out of "Balcony" plastic cups interspersed in the Lane Stadium cups. Parents were preparing me for rails.
