I haven't seen anything posted on it so far, my apologies if it is covered elsewhere.
So far I see James Clark and Colton Taylor as former Hokies signed to contract. I may have missed others, and more folks are being added still.
Anyone planning on checking this out or does everyone believe it will be another XFL? With the first game starting on February 9th, it may be a great way to extend that football fix.
I also wonder if the NFL has gotten so stale that it might be a great time for a little competition? Personally, I haven't watched the NFL in over 2 years. Going back further, I mostly watched for fantasy football. Guess I'm just over it.

Looks like Atlanta also has Andrew Matuapuaka and Dadi on their roster. The league has some decent college players on their rosters. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
Taylor Colton the former long snapper is on the team in Salt Lake City.
I thought Moto looked good for JAX in the preseason, but at his size he was going to have to look amazing to stay on an NFL roster. If the league lasts, my guess is he will be able to hold his spot. Same could be said for Dadi, just not up to NFL size, but still a good player off the edge.
Guess we know which team all of us will be pulling for.
Apparently each team has a territory it can pick from that includes former players from at least 1 CFL team, 4 NFL teams and at least five universities.
Atlanta's full territorial list is as follows:
Dadi, 'Drew and James Clark are all currently on Atlanta's roster.
Some of the other teams are fairly hodgepodge for their territories while others pull almost exclusively from one state + a few teams from neighboring states. If you're curious about a specific team (either AAF or a 'territorial team'), ask and I'll share otherwise this'll get long winded quick.
Well how does that work if say a guy went to Oregon, and then played for the Chiefs and Giants in the Niffle?
My guess is it's the last team he played snaps with but I don't know that for certain.

Are rosters finalized yet? I kinda feel like this league might be a good opportunity for Trevon Hill to prep for the NFL draft, if he's eligible.
Hill still has a year of eligibility left, so if he can manage to graduate in the spring it'll probably be in his best interest to transfer to another P5 school to showcase his talents.
Anybody watching this inaugural game of the AAF on CBS? It is San Diego vs San Antonio. San Antonio's uniforms look vaguely like the Hokie's and a San Antonio safety just had a very Hokie like interception return for 60-70 yards.
I was going to and then I realized Vick is no longer Offensive Coordinator and no Hokies are on their squad. I fact I think the only Hokie still playing in the AAF is Taylor Colton.
It's legit football in February..... And we have to survive the off season somehow. And it is much more interesting than that waste of 3.5 hours last Sunday that was the Super Bowl.
I'm just enjoying watching Steve Spurrier coach again.

I checked out the AAF rosters to see if Jerrod Evans showed up. Nope. If he can't make the three QB deep roster in the AAF I think we can put a stake through the heart of any NFL shot completely. Ah, what could have been for the Hokies and Jerrod with another year...........

I watched most of two games over the weekend. I have to say I was pretty impressed so far. Offense was lacking at various points, but apparently they've only been practicing together for a few weeks so I have to think that will come around as chemistry develops. I did expect it to feel more odd not having kick-offs/PATs but I didn't notice as much as I anticipated. I enjoyed the pace of play as well. Mostly, I just really enjoyed having Football in mid-February.
