I was terrified that Sony would be Sony and spoil Endgame with this trailer. Glad to see that they didn't.

I'm in love with that orchestrated Spider-man theme.

It kinda does though, right? Like not fully, but I mean, Spider-Man is there so you know some of what happened. I suppose if you follow movies schedules, you know this was gonna be the case anyway considering several sequels of characters affected by the snap have already been announced but still.

As far as we know, everyone shown was dissolved, or it could be assumed was dissolved. This could all be taking place in another universe where they were sent when they were dissolved.

But we all know this is after Endgame, so obviously that isn't it.

I think they should've left Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Quill alive. Although Peter Parker's death was the most emotion the movie had, those three characters are known to have upcoming movies. "Killing" them eliminated the suspense of what is going to happen moving forward as they are all definitely not dead forever.

Not for everyone it didn't. I felt so bad the 2nd time I saw Infinity War in theaters, there was a teenager with some sort of developmental handicap who obviously loved Spider-Man and he did not handle the end of that movie well at all. I at least partially wished I could have filled him in on the "secret" but he was out of that theater so fast I wouldn't have had the chance!

But in a week he probably realized/found out. I mean, right after it was jarring, but after a little everyone should've realized what's going on. That wouldn't be the case if those characters had lived and iron man & Cap had dissolved. Totally believable they wouldn't be coming back.

This could be a AntMan and the Wasp type deal, where it actually takes place before Infinity War. Or one can hope, since it is super spoiler-y otherwise.

Looks pretty good though Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio is kinda weird

Bleeding burnt orange and chicago maroon

With that outfit he looks kind of Asgardian. I wonder what route they are going to take with him.

Is this movie going to be another case where a comrade turns into a villain, a la Dr. Strange? I really thought Mysterio was supposed to be a villain

My vote is that he's totally playing the Syndrome from The Incredibles role here.

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

Butbutbut he's dead?

1 - Enter Sandman, amirite?

2 - Looks like Nick Fury gets undissolved

Sup dickwad?

Also, no Stark which is good but could also mean bad things?

The original Avengers are going to be killed in the next movie, and things will be handed down to the next generation of Avengers.

What's
Important
Now

I don't think near all of them will. Thor no, Black Widow no, Hulk no. Iron Man I think "retires." Cap dies. Hawkeye, who tf knows.

Cap is done because either Bucky or Falcon takes his Captain America mantle going forward. My guess is they'll go with Bucky... He had the longer movie contract up front anyway.

I think they'll kill off Steve Rogers and let Tony Stark retire. Allows RDJ to still make cameos whenever he wants. I get the feeling that Chris Evans is just done with the role.

It's honestly kind of weird. I used to dread the idea of Cap dying because he's always been my favorite. But it seems like the universe has shifted away from him a little bit (as they should since he won't be around forever) and in favor of some of the newer ones (again, as they should). But now I've become a HUGE fan of Thor. Ragnarok was one of my top 3 marvel movies- thanks Korg, and his new powers are incredible. There was some talk of him being done too, but Ragnarok was a big success and his new powers provide an intriguing storyline. Two of my favorite shots in the MCU are this and this. I get chills every damn time I hear him yell "BRING ME THANOS."

Just got to watch the last movie and I'm kind of confused. Twice the hero's had a chance to stop Thanos and by their own acts weren't able to and I'm sure I saw spider man die so what happens next. Do we just pretend it didn't?

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Capt Marvel sets the stage for how Thanos is defeated. When Thanos is defeated, its widely assumed the snap will be reversed, somehow.

so what happens next

We watch endgame in April to find out!

I think Thor got a new lease with Ragnarok, because it completely changed the character and opened the door for a whole new character arc. There's a new story to tell, and it would be cheapening out if they let him go now. Plus, Hemsworth seems to really like playing the character, and with the movies getting far more lighthearted than they were when he started, he's able to better flex his comedic skills.

It is different with Cap and Stark. Those arcs are done, and there really isn't anywhere else to go. Stark can make cameos with Spiderman going forward to check up on him, but outside of that, there just isn't anywhere for those characters to go. Better to build the next storylines with the new characters to inject something new into MCU.

Yeah, there's a looooot more ground to cover even from the comic books when it comes to Thor, Hulk, etc. Cap is pretty much done and Iron Man is in a good place to be done.

By something new you mean a movie with just Korg and Meek right?

Bonus points if they're part of a 3 man crew with Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster.

No way Thor is done now. That franchise finally got good! Used to be my least favorite Avenger thanks to his first two entries in the MCU but now easily my favorite.

Related: Taika Waititi needs to stay involved in the MCU. He captured that "Comic Book" feel in Ragnarok and we need more of it. As opposed to the canning of James Gunn as I am, I feel like Taika is a great option to continue Guardians.

I just don't see how Guardians 3 doesn't happen. Adding Warlock into Phase 4 is crucial for the MCU. Waititi as a potential director makes wayyyyy too much sense.

My problem with a Thor 4 is Asgard is destroyed, Heimdall is dead, Loki is (presumed) dead and Korg, Miek's and Valkyrie's whereabouts are unknown (though Endgame could clarify this). I just don't see an effective storyline for potential directors to go with as of now, but let's hope that Endgame can potentially help provide one. Ragnarok had me hoping for more.

I'm all for Erik Selvig's return though, he is a very underrated character throughout the MCU in my eyes. Without him, Loki probably ends up ruling Earth.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Loki may be dead (if he really ever dies), but we'll get more Loki (and Scarlett Witch) in a streaming series on Disney+.

Cap needs to die. I dont care about whether Chris Evan's is done with the role or not, but Cap needs to die. I'm fine with Tony taking that too hard and retiring. I dont care about anyone else dying other than Cap.

Looks like fun, snd Spidey should always be fun to watch.

I'm not use to seeing such a hot Aunt May. It's totally breaking my brain

I love the introduction of the Essentials, and actually like the idea of Mysterio teaming up with Spidey to fight them. I'd say there is a very small chance that Mysterio doesn't end up turning on Spidey in the end though.

Feel like there will be at least one other Avenger in the movie, maybe not more than a cameo though. Also, wonder what type of role Vulture will play. Basically confirmed that he's back, but probably in a more minor role.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Do you think in the MCU the term "oh snap" is considered highly offensive? I have to imagine it's at least frowned upon

Question: I know it's not animated, but how do folks think/feel it will stack up vs Spiderverse

It wont be better.
