Seems like a good recruit. However his only other offer from an AQ school was TCU.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

thats what we do with under the radar kids

Coach em up, let Gentry get hold of em, and turn them into NFLers

Kam Chancellor's only other offer was Norfolk St

I can't believe I forgot that we don't recruit big. I got caught up in the potential for them to pick up these big guys.

lolololololol

Danny Coale was a 2* recruit at best. He was recruited for LAX at UVa but wanted to play football. You've seen how the rest played out.

I never knew that. Didnt get into recruiting until recently. I always knew we recuited low key guys. I just knew Shane had been bringing in some high caliber recruits and assumed he was.

February..'96...the steak: ribeye, the whiskey:Lagavulin 16, the lady next to me: a bit**.....

Here's a good read on him.

He seems like a high character kid, and those are the ones we want.

"Coach Beamer talked to me about that," Stanford told the AJC. "What he said was the Virginia Tech doesn't usually offer a kid this late, or as late as they offered me. But when they saw me on film and they met me in person, they saw I could fit in with what they are trying to do. After visiting this weekend, I decided it's good fit for me and I'm a Hokie."

...

"I feel like a lot of my success in athletics is due to my spiritual growth I went through," Stanford said. "Early in the season, I was focusing only on football. How I did in football determined whether I was happy or not happy. It wasn't until I truly put God first that things started going as planned. The Bible says 'The Joy of the Lord is your strength.' When I started focusing on God, staying in the word and becoming one with Jesus Christ, the football just came along. I started doing so much better ... I had a few games in a row where I caught two touchdown passes in each."
