Last year, it was Beamer Co.'s policy not to allow recording devices into the spring game. This year, a complete 180; it'll be streamed all over the world. So what do you guys think? Do you like the decision? Will you opt to stay home and watch the scrimmage, or still head down to the 'Burg for tailgate practice?

Televised or not, I'll be there

Anything that gives the program more national exposure is a good thing. The more recruits that can watch our team, the better.
I know I'll be there.

Somebody put a bug in the Frankenator's ear about how much exposure a spring game can get by being broadcast. Great move!
I am pleasently shocked

Honestly this should've been done years ago, particularly when ESPN, ESPN 2, and ABC all started to televise Spring Games. As many have pointed out this is a great way to recruit particularly if the potential player cannot make it to the game and also gives the program huge exposure. Look at a list of who broadcasts their Spring Games: Florida, Alabama, LSU, Penn State, etc. In fact, a majority of what people would call the "elite" programs participate. It will be nice because though I really want to get back to Blacksburg in the Spring (one of the most beautiful places in the world during the Spring) and get back to tailgating, there is no pressure to do so since I can now crack open a few cold ones and watch from my PC.
I agree with the recruiting angle...

Spring games are replayed all spring and summer down here in Georgia. Even northern schools like Penn State are on tv all the time. In fact, in bars and restaurants down here, you can sometimes see replays of four or five different spring games going on at the same time, and everyone in the place is watching and talking about them. You can bet recruits see the same thing I do.
