Spencer Hall, formerly of Every Day Should Be Saturday, and now a writer at Banner Society, has penned his own take on the last 15 years, from the perspective of a dream journal. It's a beautiful piece of prose.

hahahahaha love all the references.
Honestly this is probably the funniest line of all and I love it.
I don't know about you guys, but it didn't read much like a nightmare to me
I suppose this will be more interesting to me next week, after another chapter is added.
Still, just looking at the record is scarier than that re-telling of it, which I couldn't much relate to.
That night I had fierce dreams of fighting alone, surrounded by dark wattled figures in the snow, glass taped to my fists, ears filled with the hushed sound of snow falling and the unmistakable sound of sinister gobbling.
I laughed so hard at this. I don't know who this is but I like him! Clutching his Pillow tight he was!!!
Man, that was a great read, lol
In all the talk of the 15 straight, I feel like it is often overlooked that we have won 19 of the past 20 meetings.
And Foster has only been beaten thrice. He has won 20 of the last 23.
21 of 24 since I became a Hokie.
He got the description of 2016 wrong.
I am nervous for this year. Hope we play lights out.
I was much more nervous headed into last season's game.
Holding out for death by rock.
I could see this year's game being very similar to 2006.
I would take a third consecutive doughnut for Bud.
I mean goddamn this is just beautiful prose right here.
"2013: Virginia Tech 16, Virginia 6. Virginia shuts out Virginia Tech in the second half. Virginia also shuts out Virginia in the second half."
*Chef's Kiss*
This was my favorite line haha
The pictures might actually be funnier than the text.
Spencer is so damn talented. He writes a lot of silly parody columns but his more serious stuff is incredibly insightful and unique in the college football world. I credit his writing and edsbs in general with turning me into an obsessed college football fan from of a casual VT fan while I was in school.
The
GuyMan in the Glass is a fantastic poem.I hope that story is true about Groh reading it and then getting canned.
That shit was hilarious. Lol
Spencer Hall is a national treasure. If you aren't familiar with his work then you should absolutely seek it out.
