Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence.
Chicago maroon > aggie maroon. Everyone knows that. He should have done his research.
Welcome HOME Coach
Sounds like David Jackson is for real.
I prefer to remember him like this:
God Bless Slamball....
Couldn't hold onto the coaches you pillaged?
No, but seriously
Ummmmm.... You do realize why we have an opening, right?
Because the strength coach that Mike Young "pillaged" from Wofford, David Land, just bolted for Iowa State after only one season.
Literally the exact same as what happened with Buzz & David Jackson
CMY has lost control!!! /s
I guess Steve Prohm pillaged David Land from VT (They previously worked together at Murray State.)
So Teel says the guy who followed Young to Tech, resigned.
Everyone is homesick! And I'm just trying to get the hell out!
He quit to take the same role at Iowa State
anyone know the story here?
I'm assuming as a hokie through and through he likes bburg more than a&m. Really good quote from Radford in the story saying he was excited to have him back is a good sign too
How are things in College Station? I noticed they got off to a rocky start, but didn't Buzz win SEC coach of the year or something?
Nope John Calipari A&M was 10-8 in conference and 16-14 overall
A lot better than his first year at Tech tho
Hmmm, same number of wins as Mike Young in his first year at a new schoolοΌ
I have fond memories of watching the Jackson twins hustle their way through the Cassell. Folks who weren't around don't know how much fun we used to have long before Buzz.
Speaking of the Jackson twins I was at the 1994 TCU VT basketball game as a 6th grader and ace custis went toe to toe with Kurt Thomas (top ten New York Knick lottery pick) and damn near got in a fight with him. If I'm remembering correctly one of the Jackson's has a chance to get us to a 100 and either missed a dunk or a lay up in the last 5 seconds which would have gotten us a free Big Mac or something like that....could be wrong but that was a solid team and I just remember custis and Thomas almost coming to blows after a "trip" 'in the back court...time absolutely flies...Hokies baby
