Derrick Nnadi Updates

OK so PSU and FSU visits are planned according to Michael Clark of Scout.

The following is from Andy Hilton of Recruit 757.

Nnadi named a top four at his jersey ceremony for the Army All-American Game. Virginia Tech, Florida State, Penn State and Ohio State are on the list. Nnadi vowed that he wouldn't take official visits and wouldn't pay attention to recruiting until his season was over. Now with his season ending two weeks early, he's able to hit the road and figure out his choices. All four offer the opportunity to play "big time" college ball. According to his high school coach, Chris Scott, Nnadi has never been about getting things easily. He wants to earn it. There would be no intimidation about going away to school and having to work for a starter's role at any of the schools. Dad is a Virginia Tech alum and Nnadi has made it up to Blacksburg this year.

Derrick could go to Penn State and carve a new path there. He's visiting Happy Valley this weekend. The Nittany Lions were after several players in the 757 this year, most notably Ricky Walker of Bethel High School in Hampton. Ohio State has already landed a verbal commitment from Jalyn Holmes out of Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk. If the Buckeyes get a pair of top players out of here, that would be huge for establishing a pipeline to Southeastern Virginia.

Virginia Tech is the favorite to land Nnadi, but there is an official visit planned for Tallahassee next weekend. Dont expect a decision from Nnadi until January.

I get the sense that his commitment isn't going to end any time soon. In my opinion, he's a smart kid for taking he time to thoroughly evaluate all the offers on the table.
