Sitting on my couch all day. Will make the long trek to the back porch at some point and grill some brats. Then hike back to the couch.

Also, a peek behind the curtain, covid test came back positive this morning, so the couch is where I'll be for the next little while. Had a loss of smell for about two days, but that's back. Other than that, no symptoms right now.

Have a BBQ food truck at our fall festival today. So, I'll be stuffing my face with whatever is portable while I work. Watching and listening via phone. Then settling into a glass of Woodford double oaked if I get home in time for the fourth quarter.

Who am I kidding? I'll have it even if I don't make it home in time. Maybe some Patron extra anejo for dessert.

Home in the Nashville area. Our youngest is turning 5 today which made for a fun morning.

The Kamado Joe is coming up slowly to 225 to smoke some chicken wings and then will sauté them in a cast-iron skillet with cauliflower and Buffalo sauce. Should be ready in time for the game.

Then, for dinner we plan to do homemade pizzas on the Joe. Hard to beat.

I just need a Hokie win to make this fall Saturday perfect!

Played 18 this morning (saw another member, a recent VT grad, complete with her maroon & orange VT bag), did chores, and am meeting my son and his gf at college for an early steak dinner up at Patriot's Place, which is exactly halfway between his school and the Cape. I have the game set to record on ESPN3, but I'll be following it on my phone during dinner. A great bottle of wine in the decanter...

I live right by Wake Forest. I love seeing Maroon and Orange here in Winston. There are some fans here. I figured since we can't go to Lane some fans would make the drive. I told my neighbor we'd show up. He's the Director of Development & Legacy Giving at Wake. We had a long talk about how Covid is impacting alumni donations. They're gonna take a hit this year. He said WF has the smallest athletic budget in the P5 schools.
