Basically, it is clear that Howard is heated and in no mood to air out the grievances at the moment (something that could have easily been done over the phone once there was time to cool off). Gard, who clearly views Howard as his subordinate (or at least treated him like one in that handshake line) wasn't having it and pulled a "you'll listen to me when I'm speaking to you" type move

Decided to look a little closer at this

In our ACC losses, looking at our contributing bench (N'Guessan, Pedulla, Maddox):

N'Guessan - 9.8 min; 2 ppg
Pedulla - 11.6 min; 2 ppg
Maddox - 10.8 min; 3.6 ppg

In our 6 ACC wins:

N'Guessan - 18.8 min; 5 ppg
Pedulla- 13.8 min; 6.8 ppg
Maddox - 15.66 min; 5.3 ppg

Now, if you just look at the 4 game win streak (omitting the NC State and ND wins - their stats were similar to the 6 losses in those):

N'Guessan - 21.25 min; 6 ppg
Pedulla - 16.5 min; 8.5 ppg
Maddox - 19.5 min; 6.75 ppg

So, is the bench contributing more because CMY is putting them on the court for longer stretches? Or are they on the court for longer stretches because CMY recognizes that they are contributing more? Little chicken or the egg thang

To be fair to BB though, of the QBs that we had on our roster prior to this past season, none of them were going to be successful under the leadership of Cornelsen and Fuente.

If Hooker stuck around and got the starting spot, he probably would have had a very similar season to BB. I'm happy for Hendon that he got the chance to showcase his ability, unlike so many others whose future's were impacted by the previous regime.

I like that the bench is steadily getting more minutes. In the win last night, N'Guessan had 26 min, Pedulla with 21 and Maddox with 19 minutes

Also, of note, VT is undefeated when Varga sees action. Correlation or causation? You be the judge

For most, yes. For the man who replaced the coaching legend who built VT and ram it into the ground to a point we haven't seen since the early 90s, in a town that is rabid about said football team....I'm not sure.

I hope he is treated respectfully, but just a couple short months ago, Hokies everywhere were lamenting their hatred for the man. I don't know that that changed overnight just because he got the axe.

Also, what about Cornelsen? If he stays in town, I would greet him with a "Fuck you Brad!" every time I came across him. s/ish
