Does the Blacksburg Taco Bell still close ridiculously early for a Taco Bell? In my day (97-02) it shut down at like 10 pm. This was a bit of culture shock as I was accustomed to making a run for the border around 1 am on weekends in my hometown.
Who do we have coming up behind Hodges, Malleck and Cline? Any promising TE prospects in the hopper?
For me it was a Gumby's 20 inch pizza. We ordered that for dinner on our first visit to campus and I knew at first glance I needed more of that in my life.
Seriously, though, I don't know if I can capture it in words. Blacksburg felt like home from day one, and it continues to feel like home now. Everyone seemed cool, almost all my professors were amazing, Rivermill started me down the path of appreciating good beer, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Hunan King, and the sight of Lane Stadium peeking out from behind the rolling hills along 460 will always give me goosebumps.
Blacksburg is special because we are all its prodigal sons and daughters. We may wander far and wide, but it will always welcome us home.
So we might still come out of this with a gargantuan DE. Spring is such a rollercoaster.

I think it's important to take a moment and just appreciate where the line is at right now. We're seeing fundamentally sound technique and skill development basically from the entire starting group, something we did not see during Newsome's entire tenure. You have to go back to Stiney or, honestly, JB Grimes to see a VT line that played cohesively as a unit as opposed to a player here and a player there that were simply excellent at their position despite their coach. (looking at you, BDC).
In general, and OL gurus correct me if I'm wrong, in two and a half years since showing Curt the door, we've gone from an OL that looks like a pack of dogs trying to fuck a watermelon to our real issue being depth.
As goes the OL, so goes the team, and the OL is improving. For reals, y'all.
