I saw GT graphics on the jumbotron so I assumed it was still a home game for them and, as someone else pointed out, they took home a lot of $ to do it. It would seem reasonable and profitable to me for both teams to play in the dome in ATL every 3 years. Still play the home and home but add in the dome game to the rotation. I would think both schools would benefit from that arrangement but especially GT with the prime viewership on ESPN plus additional ticket sales.
It's been almost 36 hours without another 4 star recruit. Without ANY recruit. At this point, you have to start wondering if JMMF is the right guy to meet the completely unrealistic expectations he's set after vastly surpassing our realistic ones (which, honestly, were pretty sad). What's the buyout look like if we cut the cord now? I just don't know if he's going to be able to take us forward from here. I didn't want to point it out yet, but he hasn't signed a single Fuller. Not even an Edmunds.

Aggies look like they're in trouble. The biggest thing I've noticed though is Arch really likes to try and chuck the ball when he's on his way down. Seems like a great way to make a bad situation worse
Ok, its a nitpick. We agree to disagree. Have a great holiday.

Ohhhhh does this open up the possibility of more plaid posts?
#PSU2VT amuses me greatly.

I think you drastically overestimate how small Andrew Luck's circle is. He's extremely well connected through his father. He's also pretty well connected in the NFL. The dude is universally respected on and off the field.
There's 2 problems with the Stanford job:
- The commitment to football is lacking - the school won't flex much academically, they enrollment timing issue makes it hard to recruit since the early signing period started, the transfer portal challenges, etc. I don't know what their financial situation is, but I imagine their resources are stretched pretty wide.
- College football coaches don't want to give up power to a GM. Guys don't want to go to that situation. Agents don't want to send their guys to that situation.
Flip side, his Dad's rolodex in college football is loaded so he has contacts available if he asked. No idea if he did but if he didnt that's a bigger red flag than this hire.
Yeah. Looks weird
Is the color on Texas-ATM way desaturated? It looks "artistic"
Glad I didn't take the over in this Texas/A&M game
U basically have a problem with me adding "really" to good.
Correct.
This latest tourney of 3 games isn't enuf of an indicator of "Mike Young's" inability to adapt.
I wouldn't call it an inability...more of a conscious decision not to. But the pattern extends over his career at VT. The first few years I thought it was CMY working with the best of what he could get post-Buzz, but I think it is clear he has his style and will stick to it. And I also think that makes VT MBB susceptible to being scouted pretty easily. We've got a lot of good players and size on this year's team, but I feel like we're still playing like a shorter, perimeter attacking team. The injuries to Neo and Lawal have definitely hurt, but the reasons why we have lost the last few games extend beyond that, IMO. Next Tuesday will be an interesting matchup to see how they rebound from the Bahamas trip and head to a hostile away environment.
Especially when your GM is in his 30s and his contacts are mostly limited to who he knows from Stanford and 1 NFL team.
EDIT: to be clear, I'm also in my 30s. But he doesn't exactly have a lot of experience to know how admin operates or have the time to have built a ton of relationships in the industry
I've never seen them in Florida. Saw them once in a Kroger in SC when we lived there.
Had the same thought lol. Glad he's back up though, was worried his ankle might've exploded for a second
Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed goes down in 1st Quarter...guess they aren't a CFP team anymore, right ESECPN? Isn't that how this works?
U and I are disagreeing on really minor differences. U basically have a problem with me adding "really" to good. Im glad u didnt down vote an opinion.
This latest tourney of 3 games isn't enuf of an indicator of "Mike Young's" inability to adapt. Lawal ended up a non contributor on short notice. He's a big part of the team. Yes, coaches need backup plans. Our depth is better but not huge. We'll see.
I found and bought 3 packs before getting to my dad's house cuz I knew we'd kill one pack during dinner, one pack the next day for leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches, and then I wanted a pack to take home with me.
I never said anyone isn't a good coach. Please go re-read my post and quote me where I stated that. I was disagreeing on your statement that they are "really good coaches". Duffy IS rebuilding, but the on-court performances of late, in my opinion, are subpar to the talent of the players on the roster. That falls on the coaching, whether that's fair or not. And for CMY, I agree with a lot of the recent in-game posts that CMY's style of coaching and coaching decisions hurt us in certain situations. His coaching style calls for a square peg and he, for the most part, refuses to deviate from that. When our opponent dictates we need a round peg, he continues to try to make the square peg fit. If the players he has recruited can only play one style (his) of basketball, that's on him/them as recruiters. If they are capable of adapting to the opponent they are playing, but he refuses to do so, that is again on him as a coach. If he IS trying to adapt somehow, but the players are not executing that, then again, it's on him/them as coaches.
Also, no, I did not downvote your opinion. I don't downvote just because we have opposing opinions.
