Yeah, I got to experience some of the craziness that fell off in the early 90's. My brother, God rest his soul, was at VT in the 80's. My wife has siblings who were there in the 80's. It was definitely a different time. I'm sure the 70's Hokies would chime in and have a similar viewpoint about their hay day too...
Yes, mattress wars was a legend told in the RA circle during my time. there were a few that still thrown in but if I remember correctly someone managed to toss a vending machine in the Pritchard hole and then everything got sealed off.
Definitely sounds like much more hijinks had in your day though!

Jordon. The only reason I'm correcting you is because I only found out recently and it makes her whole thing even funnier.
I, for one, will fully embrace Jordaon Hudson's "Find Out" era.

Ok, but that response warrants a

Yeah, it's fun thinking about picking PSU apart since they've been doing that to us for years, but after this weekend seeing the way he's going about it, no thanks. Smith can stay out of bburg.
Risk Management became a thing in the early 90's and many of the more "outrageous" antics on campus and in Greek Life went the way of the dinosaur and was probably for the better.
Another huge event was the Pritchard mattress wars that were legendary in the 80's and ventured into the 90's but that too, I believe become folklore.
1. Pro Bowl on the resume
2. Broke the Bills playoff drought
3. Would start for the Saints, Browns and Vikings this week and that's just off the dome
He is a 6th rounder and to my recollection Brady and Purdy are the only two qbs in modern NFL history to break the preferential treatment show to 1st and 2nd rounders over and over. Hence why he is Justin Fields ( a terrible qb) backup.
People forget that A) Miami beat ND B) Miami also blew out Syracuse
Especially when they did the whole announcement for change in leadership, so I feel like that might work against their case if they try to say "we told him to come in"
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy or institution
This is so insane. You don't get to fire the guy and then call psych and pretend he just wasn't showing up to work.
How shitty do you have to be to make Brian Kelly sympathetic?
The Brian Kelly - LSU saga continues.
Kelly has asserted that by LSU not formally firing him without cause has damaged his ability to find another job.
The board at LSU just voted Friday to empower the school president to formally fire Kelly but it apparently still hasn't happened and no disclosure on if for cause or not.
Hopefully the drama hurts both.
Man I really hope those dudes know what they're talking about because that would be such a big influx of talent. It's definitely a big Franklin effect at play, which is what we really need.

the movement has begun 💪
Just realized that Yosh Nijman is still rostered. Playing for Carolina right now.
🤣🤣
well I was there late 90s and those things I would not have been able to cover up and would have resulted in some sort of disciplinary action. But personally love the stories and wish I was there.
Alex Kirshner had a pretty critical take about how Terry Smith has built support by appealing to the make-PSU-JoPa-again crowd.
zero chance. Ole Miss would much rather lock him in brag about getting their guy.
I'm a little disappointed we didn't wear the classic maroon very much this year. We wore AME twice I think but too much white helmet mixed in, and we wore orange I think twice.
I think we should scrap the white out and do an Enter Night effect game once a season, wearing the Hokie Stone jerseys with the original black helmet and pants. Although the white helmets and pants looks sharp too.

He was banned.
