Both of these are kind of the wild thing. 8 months ago they had dedicated numbers! Now, not even sure they dress...
I haven't been able to watch Weston of late. And not sure if he's ready or not. I will say he and Pulisic play well together, and he was one of the best on the pitch for many of our past games.

Agree on Weah behind Dest. I can see each getting a start in the group stage for sure.

Don't forget the whole governor being involved in the whole saga because he decided he should be. That thing is one of the bigger clusters I've seen in a long time. Maybe back to the Tennessee debacle when they hired the guy, but then said "just kidding" based on the outrage, maybe Schiano.

The football players would bring cases of beer and a two person slingshot to the hill out side right field and hurl water balloons at opposing outfielders. Good times.

The spring block parties are amongst my favorite VT memories. I was at one at a newer apartment complex (don't remember the name) and Bruce Smith sat and chatted with us sitting on the tailgate of my pickup. (We were friends with the Barefoots from Princess Anne High in VB which was why Smith was even in our orbit.)

I also remember the Dietrick special: "Roast Beef au Jus with juice".

"The University of Virginia" anagrams to "A Feverish Virginity In Out", which I'm taking to mean that we pound them repeatedly.

Also I don't think Weah is a starter for us playing with wing backs. Think he's backing up Dest.

Musah, not even sure he makes the roster at this point.

Does Wes still start for you if everyone is healthy? I'm on the fence between him or Tessman next to Adams, or even playing Tessman/McKennie in the double pivot without Adams if we need to break down a low block.

A little bit of everything...
I mean we've looked our best without basically 3 stars in Europe...Adams, Weston, and Pulisic. Toss in Weah and Musah and none of them were on the pitch for 4 goals in 40 minutes. Wild.

Believe I had friends tangentially involved in that incident. Yes the 1980s were fun years to be in college! BT had JUST started (and was much less extensive(only three main routes/loops- N and S Main; Toms creek loops A and B , and Hethwood/Foxridge to ...cant remember the opposite terminus). After bar closing stops at the elementary school playground on Tom's Creek; the epic spring block parties esp Stonegate and Bargerfest; South Main Cafe/117 South Main; the baseball field being near the tennis courts/Cassell and 'the hill' to watch from; Slusher Beach (which was still surrounded by female only dorms; being on quarters not semesters(I liked those better personally); more open space(probably twice as many buildings now as then-there was a building freeze for most of the decade of the 80s; some of my classes were in former storage rooms and others in the Lyric theater.

Feel free to share some of your own old memories!

The "back 3" we're implementing seems to be working wonders. Unbeaten since we played it against Japan a couple windows back.

I keep trying to figure out what my starting 11 would be without success. Not sure if it's the fact we haven't seen a consistent roster due to injuries/coaching decisions or the fact that the entire midfield (not including Pulisic) is interchangeable for me depending on the type of team we're playing.

Its fascinating watching the LSU mess for a completely different reason than its been fascinating watching the PSU mess. LSU is the administration being so stupidly incompetent they couldn't even fire a guy in a clear legal way and have now managed to entangle themselves into a legal battle that will likely cost them even more money in the long run due to legal fees.

And if your administration is that levels of incompetent, why would any good coach want to come work for you?

I never thought I would ever see the day where we come away from this coaching carousel thinking we would look like absolute rockstar standouts in administrative focus and efficiency, and yet....

+9.5 now. Scared money don't make money.

I mean with all this who would want to take that job? Just jump in for the payday and ride it out for a few years and take the payday when they fire you I guess but my goodness.

that place just seems like a mess.

I wonder if Bielsa's lost the locker room over there. They looked half-hearted and credit to our guys for punishing them.

Crazy thing is that was basically our C-team.

FWIW that guy just posts stuff to post, I don't think he knows anything.
