Per Chris Coleman on the TSL podcast last night, Franklin has already formed his staff and it is known who it will be.
I wouldn't be shocked to see most of the PSU staff join him here. Also an outside chance we see Pry join him as well, as he and his wife were supposedly very influential to get this decision over the line behind the scenes.
The rumor is he has almost all his coaching staff identified and most ready to announce.
Watched a lot of videos on this last night and one thing I didn't really realize that is going to happen that gives us a tremendous advantage that I hadn't thought about...
This weekend gives us an unprecedented recruiting advantage. We are going to be expected to host a plethora of top talent who will be on campus with James Franklin, but unlike a regular gameday weekend, he'll be able to spend all his time with them as he won't have to worry about the game. So for a guy who we already know recruits this region at an elite level and we already know was establishing a good class at Penn State is going to have a recruiting weekend you couldn't possibly ask to be set up better, win or lose it's a good sell.
Oh, and we did this early enough that the early signing day this year (before the conference title games) actually works to our advantage.

Honestly, only coach I 100% want him to keep on is JC. The guy has been our biggest cheerleader at every corner and his defensive lines have been pretty stellar. Also I'd like to see us pick up Eddie Whitley from JMU, his DB's are always ballhawks and solid tacklers. I've been one that doesn't think a head coach has to have ties to a program but a few assistant coaches with ties to the program helps sell the vision.
