Came for Franklin news, found more dining hall discussion, but not even mad cause I had forgotten all about Shultz breakfast...forgot how good that was!

Davi Belfort sighting in UCF - Houston game with two minutes left.

I washed dishes at Owen's my sophomore year (spring '97) before I started working as a line cook at Boudreaux's. I'm shocked at how much better everything is now on campus. I didn't really think it was bad back then though.

Campus dining hall food in the early 80's was, well, not good. I kept you alive, but you never looked forward to it. We all celebrated in the Corps dorms at the beginning of the month when the $100 checks arrived and we could afford better food for a few days.

Re: the black jello....you might think it was just grape (purple), but if you sliced it thin enough to see the color, it was gray, not purple. I don't know anyone who actually ate it, so not really sure what flavor it was supposed to be. We did find ways to utilize it for our amusement, though. Owens had what I'd call an "egg crate" ceiling....suspended white plastic grid, with fluorescent lights above the grid. We would take turns trying to fling jello squares into the plastic grid hard enough to get it to stick into the spaces in the grid. Usually, the jello was firm enough to just bounce off, but occasionally we'd get one to wedge itself in there. My apologies to anyone who happened to get hit by falling jello in Owens while they were eating.

Don't recall eating much in Dietrich. But I worked one quarter in Owens, washing dishes, etc. I will never forget the smell of the silverware washing machines. Distinctive, and indescribable.

Greatly appreciated the updates. Thanks. Team's gonna have to step up their game if they want to get past the 1st round against Minnesota next weekend.

No near fall. And Lawler stalls away the 2nd rideout.

Mullen loses 3-2. That was awful. Mullen was so lackadaisical.
