Quite the interesting reaction. How in the know would MacLain really be? I would think he'd possibly know a lot being that he works with Eddie but those pesky NDAs
No, no Eric, continue that statement

Miller also beat #7 in the Finals
Also from the FlowWrestling article:
"Another high schooler won 157, as Bo's teammate Melvin Miller triumphed at the next weight class up, which included a win over #9 Brandon Cannon in the semifinals. "

According to FLowWrestling article:
"We got the Bo Show at 149, as the senior at Bishop McCort tore through the field, beating two ranked wrestlers, Caleb Tyus and Jaxon Joy, on his way to a title. Ohio State's Ethan Stiles, who All-Americaned at Oregon State last season before transferring to the Buckeyes, finished fourth."

He had been wrestling at 140 lbs at high school level so not surprised to hear that but can't find weight in info on flowrestling
OCMD report-
Once again, stated high and low tides didn't turn until 3+ hours after posted times, which makes fishing tough. People using big swim baits caught five striped bass, with one 30 inch keeper, during daylight on outgoing tide, casting out and letting the tide drift the swimbait back to the bridge. I threw a 3oz Hogy swim bait and didn't get a hit.
Tautog fishing was slow, but better quality fish than last year. I got 17 in two days, but three kept (16, 16.5, and 18 inches.) Average fish was around 14 inches. I am going back Friday-Sunday and then probably shutting down fishing for the year.
My biggest was 14.5 inches. Folks next to me weighed in five over 2 pounds. They were toads.
Hugh freeze is one of the 3ish coaches I would quit the Hokies over. Art Briles is another.
Same.
Seems to me that Franklin could have a bigger impact at VT than Auburn, but it may be the O&M colored glasses talking.
a possibility we end up with the Hugh Freeze Experience
ew, no thank you.
Do you know what Bo weighted in at? He was significantly smaller than everyone he wrestled....and dominated them all.
That's unfortunate because it might cause us to miss out on Franklin, and also there's now a possibility we end up with the Hugh Freeze Experience next year

Come for the pay, stay for the buyout.
Sure, College football coach is a hard job, but it is definitely winning the lottery.
The impact of Pry was more the time wasted, and the diminishing perception of the program, while still paying a decent chunk of change.
Franklin sends a message just through the hire: that VT is serious about college football. I think he has a recruiting effect immediately, and I agree that the likelihood of success is higher.
Either you get him or you don't, but even pursuing him sends a message about intent. This is the range of coach we want it known we're in the market for.
I'm more concerned with locking them in than their actual start date.
They go there for the buyout.
I'd disagree with that. One thing, for example, that would clearly sweeten the VT pot for him is being told Auburn and LSU aren't interested in him.
I would rather shorter time than overpaying or picking the wrong coach just to get a jump on something.
The second half vs Louisville suggests otherwise, but you're right that there's no way we've put everybody else on hold waiting for Franklin.
We can walk and chew gum at the same time
