Yeah we knock Drones consistently but his game and the team game look much different if the Greene's catch those balls. You only get a handful of chances at game breaking plays and they dropped both.
With those two plays, if they were caught and scored Drones stat line would have been 13/24 200 yards passing and 3 TDs plus he had 85 yards rushing and another TD. Completion percentage still would have been a bit low but 285 yards of offense from a QB is enough to win most games.
Refs got the call that Louisville can't lost after Miami went down.
From the stands, it really looked as soon as it was acknowledged that Miami lost the ACC called and told the refs that Loiusville has to win.
I think the money for this had already been approved before the BOV went down. To be honest, I care more about them fixing the sound system than the video board. I sit 2/3 of the stadium away from the existing monstrosity and it is loud. I can't imagine sitting any closer.
I'm sorry but mentioning Deep Ball Dave alongside Sorensen is kind of slanderous. Meyer could manage a game and keep you from losing it. As he proved in the 2000 Pitt game after MV7 got hurt, he might even win you a game from time to time. Love Nick but you can't really say the same for him as far as his QB play goes.
That said, he could still throw a better ball than Drones. My god
2 is good right?
I hope including him on that list didn't seem like I didn't think he was talented, especially on defense, but his QB play was subpar and he was the MVP of a bowl game at QB where our "not shutout" streak almost ended. That bowl game was the darkness before the dawn given the QB that was on the bench in his redshirt the following season.
I was thinking the same thing. To be honest most of the venting happened in this thread second half, which only happened because of a first half that exceeded expectation. There were some flashes of brilliance in the first half. Managed to hold on a 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 for the first time in 8 years if my math was right. I missed most of the 3rd quarter ubering my kids, so maybe the third quarter was my fault, but from what I saw the defense looked gassed and their offensive line was pushing us around. Once Louisville took the lead our offense looked lost and I'm not sure what that 4th down play was supposed to be in that last drive. Mini-vent over.
Sorenson was a Swiss Army knife and played a lot longer in the NFL than many supposedly more talented guys. I'm always a fan of him and admit to envy in the hair dept.
Too many friends have had too many bad things happen to them on motorcycles, from permanent limps to death.
Appreciate the offer, but I'd rather fix my limp and hope to be able to walk it by this time next year. I will admit that an ebike is mildly intriguing though. And yeah, they're dangerous too.
I don't think that's bad. I miss the open end of the field with the wooden bleachers and the "video board" on that end that looked like a high dollar lite-brite. It was just a different time with some fond memories for me.
Not bad at all, I did too. It was so easy to keep track of everything on that old board
This is a sign that the NIL is coming, if not already there.
You know the state of the season when we don't even have vent threads anymore.

I miss that as well. I wish they would use the south endzone video board to track basic stats.
Drones had two sure fire TD passes, one to each Greene. Donovan's would've flipped momentum, Aiden's would've never allowed us to lose momentum.
We live rent free in loluva's heads. If nothing else, we pull out all the stops. I don't care that they are the better team. We will win!
I thought those helmets looked great.
Better in the first half, when VT was playing well.
I see it a little differently.
Pry was the scared money. Low risk, low potential reward.
Franklin is the road less traveled. He's a statement hire for VT. Franklin is the higher risk, because you have to actually pay a premium to get him. Do you get an adequate return on the investment? We don't know. And whether he's really interested or just "playing the game" is as of yet undetermined. The only real risk is if you think Franklin can't make improvements to the football program. I think he can.
Nvidia isn't scared money. It's speculative money. It's a gamble.
Buzz Williams was the road less traveled. Was he worth it? Well, we got lucky and he was subsidized, but I'd say he was definitely worth it.
VT certainly doesn't have to pay Franklin, but if they can find an arrangement that works for both Franklin and VT I think he's a good bet, and a potential shortcut to national prominence after years in the desert. Not worth mortgaging the grandchildren's futures over, though. You have to convince some boosters to support it.
There are other options, but he's a valid one if they can make the numbers work.

and C...and D...and E....and F. That man just prints money every cycle and I am envious of that.

I missed the beginning of the game because I had a water leak in my house but my groupchat was blowing up.. I responded "luckily I have a water leak so am not watching". I started watching on my phone walking around lowes right before we tied it at 7 and kept watching on my phone during the fix.... it worked for a while
