I just disagree. For all the infighting at auburn, they've proven over the last 15 years that you can win a national championship there.

That is tough to say. I think there is an argument that Pry's numbers we're inflated by ODU playing prevent defense for a whole half and allowing a lot of positive plays with no risk.

Overall, the offense has done better getting chunk plays under Montgomery but isn't as consistent down to down. If anything there is an argument that the last three weeks they've started to figure out a running game, especially when Stewart is healthy - they just don't use the backs enough. Every game starts super pass heavy and then evens out, which is not and has never been Drones strong suit.

*edit: I do think there is an argument that Monty is basically playing HC, OC, playcaller, and primary QB coach which is a problem.

ASU also was starting Jeff Sims...yeah, the same guy who started at Georgia Tech in 2020---wasn't good there, then went to Nebraska and was even worse there.

Now has somehow found his way to ASU and a 6th year of eligibility.

This is why the current system is broken---these "professional college athletes"---Sims has zero professional prospects, zero actual NIL, yet he's getting a paycheck and a scholarship just because.

top 4 in the SEC is so hard for Auburn. In addition its ran by a number of different boosters that you all have to get on the same page, at VT its just the AD, we dont have a ton of big name boosters who run the show. I dont think the infrastructure is there because its so fragmented.

Yeah Pry probably had the locker room hanging on by a thread this offseason. No way they just quit like they did that quickly if things weren't already iffy. Pry's comment that this is the best roster he's had at VT in the offseason..wow talk about coach speak.

I'd say Pry's has been in motion for a while now.
