Sure looks like a much worse week for me vs. last week:

Yale = win (getting destroyed today)
Virginia Tech = win (losing and playing like crap/choking at the half)
Iowa State = win (was getting destroyed, but trying to fight back now)
Penn State = loss (playing 0-4 UCLA, so 99.99% chance of winning)
And Frosty reminded me that Baylor = win (Baylor losing, but close)

And to top it off, my daughter is rooting for Wake Forest.

I hope those feel good vibes from rallying two wins after Pry's departure have started to dissipate a little. I want the pressure on this coaching search to be absolutely immense, and for there to be no relief from it. I want Whit Babcock to feel nothing but loathing in the wake of his utter failure and what it has wrought. He should have been fired with Pry and yet he's been allowed to remain, because this admin knows only incompetence and half-measures. We're supposed to feel better because Whit *has no part in the search*, while he's going out and telling Bill Roth how excited he is for another year and a chance to "get football right". We are actively diminishing our coaching candidate pool by allowing Whit Babcock within a mile of Merryman.

So yeah. As much as the romanticism of rallying behind an interim felt nice after a win like last week, I don't want this admin to be absolved of the embarrassment of their decisions and what they've allowed this program to become. This is the bed they made. Now fucking lie in it.

Oh I'm not blaming him for this game, but I'm not seeing the kind of improvement that makes you really think the team is better off. This is still Pry's mess, but it's still a mess.

These mistakes still happening just reinforces we need a clean slate

Agree, guy wasn't gonna work miracles.

But not giving Stewart the ball and then dogshit clock management when momentum was clearly going against you---that's on him.

I think the point here is VT Football has A LOT of bad coaches and the results are very predictable.
