Receivers knees were both down on the field though. His arms hit the sideline.
Homework! We dont come to CW Sports to play no homework!
Sure looks like a much worse week for me vs. last week:
Yale = win (getting destroyed today)
Virginia Tech = win (losing and playing like crap/choking at the half)
Iowa State = win (was getting destroyed, but trying to fight back now)
Penn State = loss (playing 0-4 UCLA, so 99.99% chance of winning)
And Frosty reminded me that Baylor = win (Baylor losing, but close)
And to top it off, my daughter is rooting for Wake Forest.

Nope. ๐๐ผ
The play has not been horrible. The penalties have been 90% of the problem.
Was this the play where the tech player tackled the guy so that it pushed him out of bounds?
Penalty on 1st down makes it 1st and 20.
Stewart can only muscle his way to 1 yd. 2nd and 19. All passing just to try and get a 1st down.
Monty didn't get much of a chance to influence the clock.
NO!
The play calling is 100% on him though. It's been his offense all season.
I hope those feel good vibes from rallying two wins after Pry's departure have started to dissipate a little. I want the pressure on this coaching search to be absolutely immense, and for there to be no relief from it. I want Whit Babcock to feel nothing but loathing in the wake of his utter failure and what it has wrought. He should have been fired with Pry and yet he's been allowed to remain, because this admin knows only incompetence and half-measures. We're supposed to feel better because Whit *has no part in the search*, while he's going out and telling Bill Roth how excited he is for another year and a chance to "get football right". We are actively diminishing our coaching candidate pool by allowing Whit Babcock within a mile of Merryman.
So yeah. As much as the romanticism of rallying behind an interim felt nice after a win like last week, I don't want this admin to be absolved of the embarrassment of their decisions and what they've allowed this program to become. This is the bed they made. Now fucking lie in it.
Would drones be a starting qb at any other team in the acc?
Forcing Drones to beat you with his arm is.... Uhhh
Actually a pretty good strategy
Looks like wake has stopped making as many mistakes and is happy to punish is for ours.
The undisciplined hits are super frustrating

Going to be interesting to see what the crowd looks like for the 2nd half.
Oh I'm not blaming him for this game, but I'm not seeing the kind of improvement that makes you really think the team is better off. This is still Pry's mess, but it's still a mess.
These mistakes still happening just reinforces we need a clean slate
It seems like they're expecting the run, because they've bottled him up a bunch and forcing Drones to make passes, which he isn't doing consistently enough to win. It's a solid strategy.
That's not on my priority list.
So I hope VT can get their act together.
Halftime guy clearly no homework on the game saying Stewart's 43 yard run was his biggest of the year
Agree, guy wasn't gonna work miracles.
But not giving Stewart the ball and then dogshit clock management when momentum was clearly going against you---that's on him.
I think the point here is VT Football has A LOT of bad coaches and the results are very predictable.
Well, at least daughter is happy.
The big problem here now is that we are down two scores and we can't throw a forward pass. Conversely, we run the ball really well, but we are allergic to doing so.
Does anyone feel remotely confident that drones reaches 100 yards passing today? Because I don't..
That's my plan tonight once the kid goes to bed. I'm really enjoying it so far

That last drive before wake scored again was pretty terrible.
Otherwise, I agree
