I don't understand the clock management thing, though.

Didn't think we could have an uglier second quarter than the ODU one, but we managed too in the last five minutes.
Stupid Penalties + Poor Clock Management = lose game.
It's one of the basics.
One of the worst quarters of football.
We spotted them 14 points on two, very obvious, personal foul penalties.
For some reason beyond comprehension we cannot commit to the run. Drones CANNOT throw the football, and we have a kid averaging almost 8 yards per carry on the year and we can't commit to that??
For all the love Monty was getting, that is long gone now. He has a lot of work to do in the second half.
YET ANOTHER OUTCOME FROM OUR PISS POOR PUNT FORMATION WHERE WE CANT COVER AND WE CANT PROTECT THE KICKER. EVERY KICK IS NEARLY BLOCKED, OF COURSE THE PUNTER SHANKS THEM.

Just no way that this is the best punter we can find. Has been awful in critical situations all year.
Yeah, he had to be perfect.
This isn't perfect.
But I'm not sure you can hold him 100% responsible for the two horrible, horrible penalties that cost VT 14 points. He just hasn't owned the team for long enough for that to be completely his fault.
