So, we want to get caught. Devious!
Still gotta wait a week for Bundesliga to start, but at least we have cup games this weekend.
Effzeh actually made some decent moves this window, so I'm hopeful we actually stay comfortably in the first division.
I played 3 consecutive seasons of fantasy football years ago. I won my league in my rookie and next season because of one guy....Tony Gonzalez. I was able to draft him both seasons.
Didn't have him in year 3, didn't place very well and have never played again.
I think they're just referencing the year(s) they were All-Americans. They specifically stated that this list came from a pool of first team All-Americans.
Oh I believe it, I just want to see it charted.
College Tony Gonzalez >>>> Brock Bowers
Sooo, no Bo Jackson?
Criminal that he's not included
Part of the reason they can do that is because their merch is anything but patron friendly. Only place to buy Masters goodies and they know it - $150 shirts, $40 hats, etc. They can charge $2 for a pimento cheese sandwich because every patron probably averages $500 -$1000 in merch
The only entity that I have seen even flirt with the idea of "having enough money" has been The Masters and Augusta National. They have hyper limited commercials during their broadcasts from only a select number of sponsors and the on-premises concessions are famously fan-friendly in pricing. They literally do not need the money and act accordingly. Somehow, in the 21st Century one of the most exclusive private golf clubs in the world is positively anti-capitalist compared to your average ten minute increment of any broadcast media. Amazing.
Yeah-I'd argue 83 was Bruce's best year when he had 22 sacks in just 11 games(despite being double teamed almost every snap.
Thought - It appears the year listed was the year they left school by graduation or entering the draft or retiring?
No kidding, that list is trash. He left out WVU and Marshall.
Many years ago, when there were more than four websites that people used to communicate with each other, I had a signature banner that had a checklist of football goals on it for each season, and I would update it each week depending on how the Hokies did. It went something like:
1. Compete for a national championship.
2. Play in a BCS / Top Tier Bowl
3. Win the ACC
4. Play in the ACC Championship
5. Beat UVA.
Beating UVA was always the least and lowest goal... and now... here we are.
Fuck Suh
Would love to see the criteria listed on how they decided. It's weird to see how they picked a specific year rather than full body of work.
I'm laughing because I'm exactly the same here. I throw a few $$ at those lines all the time... And knowing how miserably predictable VT football and basketball are makes it very easy money.
EDIT: I will bet on VT to cover the spread in week one, but I'll also throw some money out on USCe to win outright (won't win much on that one).
Yeah I don't recall them ever announcing ahead of time. Usually its secret squirrel type action midday on a weekday against JMU or Radford
Oh, I agree. I didn't like the decision then and don't now. The committee bowed to SEC and B1G pressure. If they had pretended to want to be fair, then FSU should have at least been paid for getting in and not playing.
Can't ban them from a post season play. That would hurt the conferences revenue.
we absolutely should - and if we get caught we shouldn't care - and if the *waves generally* "authorizing body?" rake us over the coals and we get kicked out of the ACC (a blessing, IMO) we just countersue for damages with Michigan's case as Exhibit A and take all our "lost" ACC revenue as a lump sum and join one of the big dog conferences.
precisely why the whole playoff structure is completely asinine.
Anyway, it's why most CFB fans who are fans of teams not in the P2 are going to walk away from the sport in the next decade - it's pretty clear that if you're not in the P2 you're not at the table
Ryan and Sheri tell me to bet against the hokies, so they will win!! lol

The 4 in are solid and hard to argue with. I would probably put LaDainian Tomlinson and Rickie Williams ahead of Bo.
Bo's Sr year was his only as an AA and he had 1786 yds rushing w 17 tds. LT has 2200 and 22. Rickie had nearly 1900 AND 2124 w 25 and 27.
