I loved the Lightning when it first came out and was super excited about it. Then I heard that they were having all sorts of issues and I've met a few people in them at charging stops and they've been less than thrilled with them. Genuinely, though, I am happy to hear that you are happy with yours. I've hated Fords for a long long time but the Lightning was a cool idea and I was pleased that Ford was diving into that market with both feet. I hope Chevy does well with their truck too. I think the tech is still probably 10-20 years from being really useful in a proper truck but investing in the research might get us to a place where you can get a decent truck that actually does decent truck things on an ev platform.

# | Board of Visitors to rescind approval for Student Life Village master plans. yeah, traveling requires a bit of planning and some patience, for sure. But, when you're buying an EV in the 2020's you kind of have to expect that. I knew what I was signing up for when we bought it so I am okay with that part of it. It worked out really nicely for us at first, actually, because we had an infant at the time and we couldn't really do long trips even if we wanted to. When driving anywhere more than 1 or 2 hours away we'd have to stop and get the kiddo out for a little bit anyway and we always lined that up with a charging stop. The cool part with the Ioniq5 is that it charges relatively quickly so in most cases the car was ready to get back on the road before we were. Now our kiddo is older and could go further but we're so used to those pit stops that it's just a part of the routine for us.
My gripe with it is that the body panels are super thin and dent really easily. We have lots of door dings

I have been out of commission these last couple of months. It has been the most strenous/heavy lift related to work I have seen in my 18 years at my present employer, culminating (or capitulating) with our annual conference in Las Vegas.
I am hoping to get on the water to chase shad on Monday in Aylett, but haven't heard of any being caught. I know they have been caught at Fletchers Cove on the Potomac and at the City Docks in Fredericksburg.
Big news from the Outer Banks, as the first ever great white shark was caught from the beach on Hatteras Island by some enterprising shark anglers. I have heard very little news from the beach, but boats have found the bigger red drum on the shoals when a southwest wind warms up the water. Further south, the first sea mullet have been caught at Topsail Island.
For those near the panhandle, the first cobia of the season was caught on Pensacola Pier last week.
I have taken the Tuesday-Friday after Memorial Day off to set up camp at Buckroe Pier in the morning. My record for cobia in a week from land is six. I am hoping to beat it this year. Stay away wind. With a lot of my flexibility to travel to fish taken away with my role changes and a new vacation policy ("unlimited" isn't great when you have to submit to the whims of a tyrant with five weeks advance notice for fishing), I doubt I get to fish much more than last year, which wasn't much.
Losing is not great.
But, I very much appreciate the message that Poch had after the loss. The effort was unacceptable. The style we are playing is unacceptable. He wants us taking more risks and chancing more 50/50 opportunities rather than sitting back and trying to grind out a win.
Honestly, we should be playing that kind of game. A flamboyantly aggressive attack could help keep more kids in the sport through their training, and pay off in spades down the line. Especially if you're encouraging a country the size of the US to try and find the next great player.

All 3 of them are ranked substantially higher than the USMNT and have a lot longer history of having a system to feed the national team than the US.
US is 16th. But the number of points between 3rd Spain and us is greater than between us and #56 Iraq.
Question remains. Do Germany Spain France lose to tiny small populated islands regularly like we do in International competition?
