Went to the "Freight Runners Express website and clicked on "passengers" and this came up:

SPORTS TEAMS
GET YOUR TEAM WHERE THEY NEED TO GO - FAST!
Air Charter Express has extensive experience flying sports teams all over North America. During the college sports season, we fly hundreds of different teams to their road games and back home again! Our Saab 2000 fleet is ideal to get your university and professional sports teams to their next destination quickly and safely. We work with all the leading travel management companies.

It was fun! I was in the hunt for a while, with just one blown game where I missed where I missed that half the team was out. I had second on a near lock, but realized the only way to win was to pick differently than the leader and get lucky, so I swung for the fences in the semi's, lost, and then forgot the season has one more meaningless bowl game at the end.

Amateur Aviation Nerd here:

The Saab-2000 is definitely a larger than expected plane to use as a private transport. I don't believe that there are any commercial U.S. operators left of this aircraft, but it was typically configured to hold ~50 passengers.

Looking further, the company it is registered to Freight Runners Express has 7 in their fleet that are configured to hold 30 passengers so it looks like they use it exclusively for passenger service (per Wikipedia).

So yes, it is significantly larger than your typical Private transport, but not impossibly large....maybe the new D.C. is bringing along Caleb Downs, Jeremiah Smith and another 8-10 Buckeyes to transfer to VT??? lol...one can dream.

I'll pony up $84 for someone's TKP membership (with the condition that it has to be a current VT student) if he doesn't. Winner will be chosen based off the funniest downtown Blacksburg drinking story.

What were you looking at? The pictures link of the plane to the right absolute look like a passenger jet, just one that's way bigger than you'd expect one person to be on. Looks more like it would be for a team.

Edit: for the record, that's not a sarcastic what are you looking at -just checking to see if we're looking at the same thing.
