American Football Coaches Conference started yesterday and ends Wednesday. If we're doing any sort of press conference about the announcement, then I bet it happens Thursday or Friday. But I'm sure Pry is doing interviews while there. So maybe we find out in the next day or two. I'm not holding out any sort of hope.

For our trips, I just went to my local bank and got about $500 USD worth of either Euros or Pounds Sterling depending on the trip. Those are both common so your bank should have some on hand. If you go somewhere weird then call ahead. The exchange rates are decent and then you can exchange the bills there when you get home. They won't exchange coins though. We used card for dinners and stuff, but used cash for incidental stuff.

You're correct, once you get off of it, you don't retain any of the benefit. But the hope is by then my body will get used to the reduced consumption by then and the hunger won't be as terrible....who the heck knows.

No... it's because he's one of 3 active DCs (along with Schoop and Banks) who have experience running Pry's scheme. And our personnel are suited to run Pry's scheme. We don't want to start completely rebuilding the defense next year.

That should not be the case. If Coleman was confidently putting it out there that Dex was not the DC then others (including Pry and company) had to know this was brewing as well. My guess is that they have also known this for a while, so if Pry or Whit try to use this as an excuse for an internal promotion or an underwhelming hire at the last hour, I for one ain't buying it.

I wasn't necessarily completely sold on Poindexter to start with, felt like a slightly more experienced version of Marve...maybe could recruit too.
But the situation now looks like he was Option 1a and 1b and we didn't have the initiative to close the deal before other dominos might fall.

I find myself with the opinion of I don't think the line can get worse and this man at least has experience of developing people and putting people in the NFL in that position. So he has to be a step up. If we got him at a bargain, even better.
Honestly, realizing that the Dex ship has sailed and seeing how we are apparently still trying to schedule guys for interviews, I have a really bad feeling that we royally fucked this up. If you're going to make a move to fire a coordinator, damn well knowing your ass is on the line if you screw it up, you better as hell have someone lined up ready to go as soon as you pull the trigger. Seeing that its now been over a month (Dec 12) since Marve was fired and there are only 2 colleges still playing, neither of them with anyone we would consider to be a candidate, unless you (foolishly, IMHO) think that the DC is coming from a team still in the NFL playoffs, its starting to look like we have nothing.
Which isn't a great fucking place to be when your head coach is struggling to tread water.
