...and a new new pitching coach apparently. Even if the hitting improved by a run or two, no offense should need 8+ runs a game.
Has landed at Missouri, they figured out how to make his transfer work.
Correct. There's about 18 teams in D1 with an offense that can withstand pitching and defense that gives up 8+ a game.
We are not one of them.
We are not in the top 100 in scoring offense.
We aren't even top 200.
... we are tied for the 202nd best scoring offense in D1
...
...
... we need a new hitting coach
Technically not true, right, cuz CMY gave up the popcorn this past season per doctor's orders?
I'll stubbornly eat my hat as I was hard in the camp of letting CMY go after this season. But having to go up against UNCheat for a HC would be a fool's errand, especially if the reported dearth of quality candidates is true this offseason (I really have no idea). MBB is in a terrible situation as a program right now, but having CMY back can provide some stability for next season. Although I would think it is very hard to recruit when you are on the last year of your contract amid rumors your bosses were considering firing you!
They wanted him to resign because they didn't want him to fire him outright for optics. Tried to shame him into it. But Davis called their bluff and they were forced to fire him. A bunch of high rollers have been out on Davis for awhile, just looking for any reason to move on. They finally got their way
This should go plaid. Another leg for you, anyways. It's well deserved.

He's a great actor, just not a great basketball player.
Oh, did you mean the actual Michael Jordan? I thought you were just talking about Michael B. Jordan.
Not many teams are able to win while giving up 8 runs. The Lady Hokie softball team, maybe, but not many baseball teams.
Expected to be a contributor, and has a history of injuries. We will see.
I have heard rumors of a lot of position movement. Hopefully Moore is finding the right spots for his best and not "cross training" because the depth isn't there.
I've seen film gurus on YouTube make this point before, so it makes sense.
I read on the twitters that the stripe was added because without it its hard to see where the person is looking in aerial/overhead practice film.
According to at least one article, he met with the AD about his plans for the future and making things better. They fired him the next day, so I guess they didn't like his plans.
You don't love to see Mickens there, but I don't think he will be relied upon this year, so taking a year to get healthy and get college ready is fine.
Logan Howland news when it came out awhile back was really disappointing. Hopefully he is ready and fully healthy by the season.
Jojo Crim at risk of becoming one of those "hearing good things from practice" guys who never quite has the luck to break through. He still has plenty of time though!
I always thought Galen Scott seemed like the coach that most earned the MF title in his time here.
I really, really, want it to just be smoke. But I can see her getting a six figure offer from at least a couple schools.
For all everybody made fun of the boxing glove on a stick trick, our RB's fumbled less those years.
Nope. Just that Jordan isn't in my top 5. Do we really want to go down this rabbit hole? Based on the number of downvotes I got for just stating that opinion, I am not sure I want to risk it.
I wouldn't read too much into that. I guess the style of the Guardian caps are advancing and they've probably been tested enough to have proven that the ROI is there, so we probably made a bigger investment in them. The testing is all done at the VT Helmet Lab, so there may be some partnership there as well.
I don't see Franklin as a guy who is devoting time to uniform design. He sure didn't have to think about it at Penn State.
Statistically speaking this lines-up with every loss we've had the entire season. When our pitching shows up and we keep opponents under 8 runs, we're gonna win. Once we give up that 8th run its game over - we dont have the offense to get into a slugfest with any team in the country.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first we've seen of a VT logo on a guardian cap in practice footage. And what's more interesting is that it features a white stripe down the center of the helmet.
Fuente added a helmet stripe when he got here.
Pry modified the helmet bumper from GRIT to TECH when he got here, removed the helmet stripe from the maroon helmets and modified the helmet stripe on the white helmets.
Does Franklin have a helmet modification coming down the pipe?

Not upset about Pasha either. When he got in the game it was obvious why his minutes were so low. A guy who looked good at a lower level, but looked outclassed in the ACC.
Done deal

Davis had 5.3 million guaranteed reasons not to resign. UNC has already said they will comply with the buyout.
