You bring up a good point. We haven't seen or heard a lot from any of the assistant coaches. Even on Tech talk live we only hear from Fuente. I for one would like to hear more from coach Corn and the others.

Those guys were plenty frustrated too. If it wasn't the weather it was Ron Cherry. We've never legitimately beaten them to hear them tell it. Maybe they'll just merge with Miami and finally be able to fill a stadium. Those two fanbases deserve each other.

I hate the general "best teams" argument/definition, largely because everyone has different definitions and criteria for "best teams". I've long made the argument that "champion" does not always equal "best team". And based on the limited number of games that can be played, we're looking for "champion" over "best team". For examples, look at the last two times the Giants won the Super Bowl. They were obviously not the best team in the NFL, but they were champions.
Auto bids give a clear pathway to the playoff system. And, it turns the conference championship games into de facto first round playoff games.
