because Fu didn't have Foster yet.
Interestingly enough Fuente coached against Babers last year: http://www.richmond.com/sports/college/schools/virginia-tech/article_c83...
Hopefully this game is more one sided in favor of the good guys and not a Bowling Green/Memphis type shootout
Seems like he built a Carrier off of his ability
The ACC Wheel of Destiny looks a lot different than I remember.

I think it's the overall attitude of the team and how much life there is. Other than that I surprised by the efficency of the offense.
If they don't like rain, they should build a dome. Wimps.
We're the only Coastal team that isn't scheduled to play any of the Atlantic Trinity
Which could be a HUGE BLESSING in disguise considering how this year is going.
Stand back everyone, I'm going to get serious for a moment.
This game, more than some on our schedule, has shootout potential. If we can't hold their passing attack down, it could be a race to 30+. Or (gasp) 40+. And of course, I'm nervous about the Carrier Dome factor as well (the travesties of 1998 and 2002 occurred in my formative football fan years). I've seen it all over the place lately, but we really do have to go 1-0 this week.
Moment over. Back to your regularly scheduled hurr durr beards
I'm hoping the fact that we have (mostly) a new coaching staff in town the demons of both Syracuse & Pitt will be/have been exorcised.
Predicting wins over Army and Miami and Losses to Stanford and Navy
Then we eliminate them
Low-Techs something something...I need an adult.
Yeah, most of the time, the lots don't open for game parking until late afternoon for a weekday game.
If you're looking at getting there around noon, then you want to go to the visitor's center and get a visitor's parking pass. Although, I don't know if they have any special regulations on weekday game days to avoid people from trying to beat the parking lots. The visitor center is right there near the stadium on Southgate off of Rt. 460. (It's one of those places I can find on my own, but hell if I can give directions.)
Bloody McNabb. That throw still haunts me.
Whatever Wake Forest did this past weekend, lets do that!
Yup. Bud will have his boys lathered up for this one.
Do either UNC or Miami still play Clemson/Louisville?
No. Interestingly enough, they play each other's crossover rival, so both of them face NC State and FSU.
Louisville gets Duke and UVA, Clemson has GT and Pitt.
We're the only Coastal team that isn't scheduled to play any of the Atlantic Trinity.
The other great thing about this team is that they're always looking inward. They are constantly working to improve their own play, regardless of the week's opponent. Making yourself the focus almost cancels out the theory of a "trap" game.
That being said.....going to the Carrier dome sucks.
I had the same situation, but it was during the BoB. Turned out it actually wasn't so bad lol
Not necessarily. Maybe you want UNC to get a second loss. Do either UNC or Miami still play Clemson/Louisville? It's really hard to project how it might play out a 2 loss team may win the Coastal
Brentwood baby!!
I don't think Chip's system is the problem. I think his eccentricities coupled with head scratching personnel decisions are the problem. NFL offenses use spread concepts effectively today. Have been for years.
Rankings don't take into account the fact that we played in a hurricane. So as far as the numbers are concerned, we put up 260ish yards on a bright, mid-70s day. But hey, 34-3, bro.
I watched parts of the nd game with Cuse. They suck. I saw a lot of running around which resulted in bullshit. Oh nd was on defense. Suck vrs suck.
we were in the 50s but slipped by not playing last week and well playing in a monsoon this week.
My guess is we end up in the top 30 in offense, which would be outstanding coupled with a top 5...errr #1 defense!!!

Not sure where else to post this, but Danny O'Brien, a senior DT for the Vols, got injured in the Texas A&M game on Saturday. It was announced tonight that he was kicked off the team for violating team rules. Sources on Facebook are saying that they did a drug test at the hospital after the injury and that they found Adderall, which is a stimulant. "It increases alertness, aggressiveness, attention and concentration. It improves reaction time, especially when fatigued. Some think it enhances hand-eye coordination. Some believe it increases the mental aspects of performance." Yikes.
