I believe the weather for the Carrier Dome will be clear and 72 degrees.
This will be a nice test for Fuente. Has all the makings of a letdown game. I really, really want us to roll into Lane for Miami undefeated in the ACC. If we can take care of business here, that environment is going to be something special.
Since we are using the 1-0 verbage every single week. Can we start doing this too?

Might think about that.
I wonder if I will have dried out from this last game by the time this one rolls around.
He can just do what I do and take the oldest kid with you. The wife will appreciate it and he can indoctrinate a future Hokie.
Heck, my kid's fist bumping skills went from 0 to 10 thanks to all the practice he's had at Lane this year.
Same except I'd turn off the TV and go do something productive sob uncontrollably for hours on end.
FTFM Fixed That For Me
Someone say party line?

your sig line makes this even better

We moved back to PA this past June, so it's a straight shot up the PA turnpike to 81 for us.. Thanks though! I feel cold just at the thought of living in 'Cuse.
ECU I believe we opened as a 6.5 or 7.5 favorite and it ballooned to 15.5 or so by kickoff
I'll go a step further... UNC is good because they actively break practically every rule in the book and openly flaunt that fact with no remorse. It's not like they're over there pouring money into the football program significantly raising the bar for the program as a whole like they gave done throughout the years in basketball. They just hire guys willing to look the other way while they cheat their way to the top and call it a day. Screw that
VT basketball is going about it a completely different way. We've overhauled our facilities from embarrassingly bad to legitimate ACC quality, and we've gone out and paid for coaches who put in the hard work to turn it around correctly.
Sure, both fan bases give the respective sports attention only when they feel like it, but if you compare the two I have much less of a problem with a school like VT being good at basketball right now than a school like UNC being good at football, because of the way they've gotten there.
So what you're saying is even if we have a fantastic record this season, it could get way worse before it gets better because all our talent will leave...
good thing our 2nd and 3rd string are getting meaningful reps every game.
I would still put money on that. I imagine others feel the same. Any bets on what the line will be by game time? UNC swung from -6.5 to, what, +1.5 by game time last week?
Part of that is the skill position talent Fuente inherited. Lefty never got his scheme to work in anything more than fits and spurts, but one thing he was successful at was restocking the cupboards compared to what he inherited. Fuente has some legitimate all-ACC talent to work with during the installation of hit system.
Considering ticket prices on stub hub right now I would not expect anything near a capacity crowd
Carrier Dome "The Loud House"
-"However, the temperatures greatly rise when filled to capacity even in November."
-"FieldTurf was installed at the beginning of the 2005 football season, replacing the outdated AstroTurf."
Syracusr is not good enough to pose a trap game and this is not the VT team. CJF has no experience with the old team. All I know for sure it will be 70+ degrees and no rain for this game.
Does it include a hot dog, a drink, a rain poncho and a life preserver?
My wife got that bullet at 3 his morning. I managed to avoid it.
You didn't say the bomb threat was on the changing table.

Business in the backfield, party on the line?

I understand the trap game mentality, and luckily I'm not a part of the actual team because I do not expect this to be remotely close. It took Notre Dame only 1:42 combined TOP to put up 23 points on the Orange in the first quarter. All 6 of USF's TD drives were 3:03 or less. I'm sorry, I just don't see how the talent level or the scheme of Cuse could possibly beat us more than 1 out of 100 times. They give up way too many big plays. I cannot wait to see how many points we can put up inside the dome.
