I would think playing on Friday night at UNC would make the most sense logistically...the only real downside is that the fans are put in a tough spot to get to the game on time. Given UNC's attendance vs Pitt I don't really see how a Friday night game would have significantly worse attendance though

Can someone please venture an educated guess what this all likely points to for the weather in Chapel Hill, NC around 3:30 to 7pm this coming Saturday?
Or for flights arriving at the Raleigh-Durham airport around 9:30am that morning?
Game will either be moved to Friday night at UNC or Saturday in Blacksburg..
the idea to move it to Sunday is a 1/2 ass idea and you run the risk of moving it to have to cancel the whole thing. If you're going to do anything its going to happen before it comes (Friday) or move out of state (Blacksburg)
Moving it to Blacksburg wouldn't be that hard to do in terms of getting the teams ready and in town. Flights and Hotels would be needed and ESPN would have to re route the TV stuff to VA..

I don't buy that Buzz was even sorta interested in the TCU job.
Buzz is far more astute than most of the idiots covering and commenting on conference politics and maneuvering. He left a solid Big East program with basketball history to go to a bottom tier ACC program for reason. And he wasn't going to leave that same soon-to-be mid-tier ACC program for a bottom tier program in a potentially soon-to-be extinct Big12 - just because Buzz is from Texas.

Right. Because politicians always say what they mean and mean what they say...
If anything this tells me the Governor knows that expansion is a non-starter (which has been apparent to me since Boren first openly opined a yr and a half ago) but he gets to look like a man of resolute action while firmly straddling the fence.
As I said, I don't buy for a second that UT's future is tied to Houston.

Sorry to disappoint. I figured people would know hall of fame WR of Pittsburgh, broadcaster, former republican governor candidate of Pennsylvania, and now AD of USC. I find it crazy the breadth of work and his ability to keep rising in all his efforts. It does seem random, without knowing his full bio, how he became AD of USC, when I don't know if he has ever worked for a collegiate program before.
